🏴‍☠️ Rebranding statement 🏴‍☠️

I have taken the decision to rebrand Dorchester Martial Arts and Dorchester Functional Fitness into one single entity called Dorchester Agoge. There are various reasons for this which I will list below.

1) The current trading names where chosen over ten years ago when I first started up. My initial thoughts centred around what would rate highly on a Google search, hence the names I choose. As an established business I feel this is less of a concern.

2) We are the only training facility offering Strength and Conditioning, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I feel this unique element of the business isn’t best presented while having separate training names, websites and social media accounts.

Traditionally the AGOGE was a training school in Ancient Greece which trained young Spartans in physical fitness, Martial skills and mindset training. While our facility is open to everyone who wishes to work hard to improve, the name Agoge better incaptulstes the services we provide then the previous trading names.

3) The Market in Dorchester and surrounding areas is swamped with providers using “fitness” or “martial arts” in their name. As with any industry the level of competence varies massively and I feel this is the right time to break away and choose a new name to limit any association with other businesses.

The websites and social media accounts will stay live for 8 weeks and will then be deleted. Our new page is below.
