Dorchester Badminton Club The page for Dorchester Badminton Club. Dorchester Badminton club is the premier badminton club for the Dorchester and surrounding area.

Players are aged 16 to 65+ and play mixed and level doubles to a competitive standard including participating in league match play. The club has teams playing in three different leagues; see details under the “Leagues” tab. We are based at St Osmund's Sports Centre and play on Fridays from 8 – 10 p.m. We now run throughout the year, including the summer months. The club welcomes all new members wh

o have had some previous experience at playing badminton. Men and women of all ages are welcome. Come along if you play at a reasonable standard and want some friendly competition to improve your game.

We will updating the site shortly with the summer season which is open to anybody, you don't have to be a member. Just come along and play. We have PAYG and subscription options, whatever works for you. See you there.

As we near the end of the season, all league matches are completed. We had a steady season, maintaining our places in the leagues we entered and getting more of our club members playing and enjoying the competitive spirit.

All that is left is our end of season internal tournament where players bid for bragging rights for the next 12 months to be the best at club. On the 17th and 24th April, we will be holding the tournament so we will not be accepting bookings from people wanting to come and play on those dates. However, stay tuned for details of our open summer season where anyone can come and play with us.

Winners will be announced on the club blog and the trophy presentation will be at our AGM held in May.

Happy New Year to all. Now that all the mince pies are gone, its time to work them off. If you would like to come and play badminton, you can book on for a 6 week trial session via our website for just £8 per session to see if the club is for you.
