Today we had our last session with our lovely member, Neil, before he heads off to start his next adventure in Australia 🩺🇦🇺

Neil has been such a valued part of our CFD community and he’ll be very, very missed by all of us. 🥹

We are so excited for you and this next chapter, Neil. We hope you absolutely love life Down Under but if you ever find your way back to the UK, you know exactly where to find us! 🫶

🏆 MEMBER OF THE MONTH AUGUST 🏆

A huge congratulations to Nick! 👏🔥

Nick is someone who definitely likes to mix things up! You’ll regularly find him putting in the work at our Engine classes on Wednesday & Friday mornings, before heading into our CrossFit classes and giving it everything he’s got. 💪

And his improvement? Nothing short of noticeable. 👀

All of our coaches have seen a real difference in Nick’s fitness, strength and confidence over the last few months. The consistency and effort he’s putting in are really paying off, and it’s brilliant to see!

But it’s not just his training that makes Nick our August Member of the Month. He’s happy, positive, friendly and always brings a great energy into the gym. He’s also got a competitive streak that definitely comes out when the clock starts… and we love it! 😂🔥

And, of course, we couldn’t possibly forget his other important contribution to CrossFit Durnovaria…

✈️ DORSET PLANE PULL 2026 ✈️

What a day! Monday we took on the Dorset Plane Pull challenge, raising money for Dorset Mind and what an experience it was! 💪🏼

We came 5th out of 34 teams 🏆 and we honestly couldn’t be prouder! None of us had ever done anything like this before, so to finish 5th is pretty bloody amazing! 🙌🏼

We’re also so proud of everything we’ve raised so far. A massive thank you to everyone who has donated, supported us, joined in and helped us along the way. ❤️

But we’re not quite finished yet…

Completing an incredible 6 workouts across the weekend and finishing 13th overall is such an amazing achievement. The dedication, determination, and hard work it takes to compete at that level is truly inspiring.

Real CrossFit gyms meet you where you are. Whether that means ring rows instead of pull-ups, using a band for support, or adjusting the height of a box, every workout can be adapted to suit the person doing it. You don’t have to fit the workout, the workout should fit you. And a good coach is there to guide you every step of the way.

That comfortable gym down the road might not push you to learn, improve, or discover what you’re capable of. Sometimes staying comfortable means staying exactly where you are.
