Daiwa UK pole fishing masters at Tunnel Barn Farm for the last 3 days!

Long one this 🤣

The best festival of the year for me is unreal buzz for this every year!

My 3 days didn't go to plan and a couple of tweaks to the approach would have definitely seen me in the frame places!

Day 1 was on club 13 section of doom tbf about 150k of big final winners to compete with 🤣
Bait choice was wrong looking back had a simple day fishing across on 2 lines with casters and down the middle with casters
Set off well catching steady for the first 2 hours then it went to nothing changed one of the caster lines to maggots and got catching again in the last hour came off a 8lb carp at the net my 79lb left me 3rd with 85lb and 89lb beating me
Chance missed needed to fish maggots across took me way to long to change.

Day 2 needed a good one and drew one 23 canal
One you'd always take, took and aggressive approach to try and catch a big weight casters across and long down the edge and some GB down the edge
Again set off like rocket and just went to nothing kept ticking away but didn't get a little run down the edge left me 2nd with 115lb and 125lb winning
Bait choice was wrong i felt maggots up and down down the middle would of seen me over the line

5 points going into the last day could of easily been 2 points

Last day felt I needed 100lb + peg and a win to sneak in the frame places

Drew a bad one 6 high had a quick look at where bagger fished first day but unfortunately the ducks had had party and flattened all the rushed 🤣 about how my first 2 days where going
Had to attack it and fish for carp so just fished GB in the mud all day was very poor 1 little carp and some f1s for 20lb with 50lb winning the section definitely a different approach would of got me close to that was quite a lot of little f1s and silvers caught around me but 6 points and 350lb was needed to frame so I needed a 150lb peg on the last day

Massive well done Andy Bennett on winning it he doesn't make any mistakes that man 💪

Big thank you the team at Catch More Media they work like mad to ensure the events run as smoothly as possible working along side the everyone at tunnel

Got a lot to think about for next year can't wait been an epic couple of days away with the lads

Back on the qualifying campaign!

Yesterday the MMT at the glebe drew a good one in 87 on lake 6 always a chance of a weight from this area of the lake

Was a little gutted when I got the peg to see the wind pumping up the other end but there was a odd mugger knocking about

Started of mugging had 6 in the first 45 mins before they disappeared then had a lovely run on the feeder then a very slow 1 hour and 45 was like there wasn't fish down this end of the lake.
Then it was like a light flicked on and caught steady away on the feeder till the end

Had 168lb for 4th in match 💪

Never catching the 300lb needed Jay had he unreal when he gets on half a peg 💪

Bit gutted for Paul Holland Angling fished a mega match at the top end of my lake for 225lb would be enough in most matches

Looking forward to a summer of getting dragged in buy some carp now 😍

Unreal weekend!

After having one of the worst matches iv had in a long time at ferry last Sunday it was back to the Bait-Tech Feedermasters individual campaign at Southfield, never really got to grips with the place but it's not a venue I visit regularly.

Didn't really want to go Saturday or Sunday but if your not fishing your not qualifying

Drew peg 30 What's the last peg in the first zone was bitterly cold wind smack in face lovely

After a bite less 2 hours was and just trying to work out how much I would get for my gear it locked in with one
Nearly fell off my box!

Managed another 3 big lads and 3 skimmers to just beating the best looking angler on the bank Danny Wilson booking my place into this year's final 💪💪

Sunday papa decided that it's impossible for me to have anything over him and won the match!

Guess you never know with fishing

Massive well done to the rest of the winners and qualifyers!

Angling Trust Competitions commercial national at the mighty lindholme lakes!
I was on peg 52 benny's good peg on a normal lake but with the sudden rise in temperatures the f1s went into spawning moad so cover was key this peg provided me with a tiny clump on a top kit 🤣🤣

Had 6 f1s for 6th in the 12 man section was super tight and the team finished with 46 points that left us 3rd with 43 points with nytro Quaker taking the top spot at drennan nw second on the same points

4th was probably the best I could have done if I was on the clunk of reeds earlier!

Sunday I jumped on the Golden Reel Angling again at lindholme
Drew ok in 2 laurels but again lack of cover was the issue
Had 100lb fishing down the edge to some rushed

Well to do Ben Townsend taking it out on 40 laurels with 200lb 💪💪

Back on the Feedermasters this weekend 😍

Huge signing for Drennan Barnsley Blacks!!

First go at lindholme for a look for the up coming commercial national.
Jumped on the Catchy Bait big money match drew the lake I didn't want in 33 willows good peg wind nice.
Had a steady day monging about for 115lb lake win 6th in match
Super rusty

Looking forward to next week's adventure

Bait-Tech Feedermasters weekend
Decoy yesterday drew a good one in 26 oak first one with some room but it's always hard to beat the fire pegs with it still been like winter 🤣
Had 15 for 146lb felt I was one fish off and was in with Craig putting 152lb on the scales

Todays been another one at mega st Alban's lakes
Gave it 4 hours for not a sign and started the long journey home!

Been a brilliant 2 days with papa and Mick Vials Fishing
Fingers crossed get a chance at barston in 2 weeks time

Sensas UK challenge this weekend!

Had 4 epic days with my Drennan Barnsley Blacks team!

Massive well done to Dorking on winning the event just beating our A team with a point!

I had a rough 2 days and never felt in tune with the fishing this year tbf but got lots to think about for next year

Had a laugh a minute with Nick Crooks

Got the run up for commercial national and Feedermasters to prep for now
