A little different this Tuesday we had our 2nd home league game in a week instead of training

First half both teams created chances with Lacie going close in open play and Brooke going close with a free kick.
Ava made 2 really good saves and our defence was solid to keep it at 0-0 at half time.

Second half Bentley came out flying and from a throw in on the right Bethany launched it into Lacies path for her to finish left footed in to the bottom corner to make it 1-0 in the 44th minute.

Our second goal was bit more route one style Ava picked the ball up on our box and a huge kick forward bounced over the defenders for Brooke to run on to and from the edge of the box smashed it into the roof of the net in the 50th minute to make it 2-0.

More Bentley pressure down the right led to another corner, in which came a great cross from Lacie, the ball pinging around in the box fell sweet for Brooke to strike well for her second goal of the game and Bentleys 3rd in the 53rd minute 3-0.

Rossington consolation goal happened after a really good finish inside the box in the 57th minute 3-1.

Amazing effort from all 14 girls that played tonight consecutive victories in the same week and scoring a collective 13 goals is a brilliant achievement for the team.

Same as the last game every player tonight could have quite easily picked up the coaches and players trophies but this game:

Saturday was a great day for bentley teams 😀💚💙⚽️

A wet start and with no subs today our 11 girls started the game strongly and from some good work by Courtney in midfield Brooke hit a shot from outside the box to make it 1-0 in the 6th minute.

Our very next attack saw Bethany run down the right and put in a brilliant cross for Skyla to score her first goal for the team with a good close finish in the 7th minute to make it 2-0

Our 3rd goal came from Brooke getting hold of the ball and laying it off for Lacie to hit a strike into the bottom right hand corner in the 13th minute 3-0

Some good play from Lacie saw her pass the ball into Courtney who found a bit of space to hit a shot from edge of the box to make it 4-0 22nd minute

With the first half drawing to a close another long range shot from Brooke saw her get her 2nd goal of the game 5-0 30th minute

The second half saw Bentley continue to attack and a run from Tanisha saw her take on and pass 3 defenders then slide the ball forward for Bethany to run on to and finish well into the bottom corner for her 1st goal for the team 6-0 41 minutes

A long throw from Bethany on the right saw Skyla take a great first touch and a scooped shot over the keeper for her second goal of the game made it 7-0 48th minute

Some great wing play from Myah on the left hand side saw her pass the defender and cross a good ball in for Courtney to get on the ball to fire her second goal of the game 8-0 55th minute

Brooke dropping deep in to midfield picked up the ball from a pass from Bethany and with another sweet long range strike made it 9-0 59th minute to grab her hat-trick

With Bentley still pushing hard to score more goals until the end Brooke got a strike off inside the box which took a small deflection to make it 10-0

A fantastic performance from all 11 girls this morning gave parents and coaches a very different decision for players of the game as all 11 could have taken the trophies home but parents player of the game was Tanisha ⭐️

A very foggy morning saw Bentley make a slow start to the game in which Denaby took the lead after 7 minutes.

What followed was a lot of Denaby attacks, Izzy in goal made a few good saves and we saw strong defensive play from Felicia,Ava, Emily and Tanisha keeping Denaby at bay.

Just before half time good work from Amelia who managed to dribble her way into the box and square it for Ruby to make it 1-1 in front of the goal after 33minutes.

After a good half time chat Bentley came out the second half strongly and looked the better side, pressing from the front and good battling in midfield to give us good possession.

In the 40th minute a good run down the right from Lacie saw her shot saved well but Brooke was on hand at the back post to make it 2-1.

Some chances was created in the next few minutes with Eve Brooke and Lacie forcing the Denaby keeper into some good saves.

But in the 55th minute what looked like a deep cross from the right hand side Denaby found the top corner.

It was a nervy last 15minutes and we had Izzy to thank for keeping us level with 2 good saves one of which from a free kick.

Some really solid performances from the team saw Felicia get the parents player of the game ⭐️ and Emily claimed the coaches player of the game ⭐️

First half we started strong with Bentley being on top through excellent play in midfield from Skyla and Summer getting the ball back. Courtney and Bethany on the wings were creating good forward passes for Lacie and Brooke to create lots of chances.

Our goal came from some good play at the back by Amelia to send Bethany down the left wing, her pass into Brooke on the edge of the box made it 1-0 to Bentley after 23 minutes.

Half time saw us make 2 changes with Emily and Eve making their debut for Bentley but just 30 seconds into the 2nd half Retford had a good run down the right hand side and a deflection from the cross gave Retford their equaliser 1-1.

For the next 20 minutes some great battling from the Bentley girls saw us defend our box really well. Good passes forward from Amelia and Izzy at the back were a real threat with the wind for our strikers to get on to.

But unfortunately on the 60th minute a Retford cross saw us score a second own goal of the game to make it 1-2.

The last 10 minutes saw Bentley finish the game strong and if it wasnt for the Retford defence and goalkeeper playing really well our chances from Brooke and Eve would have gone our way.

All 14 girls today were amazing all put in 100% effort and didnt stop running for each other and on another day if luck would have been on our side the result could have been alot different

🚨 MANAGER WANTED 🚨

With Aidan’s upcoming move to Australia, we are looking for someone to take over managing our Under 10s team going into next season. We’re looking for a 100% committed team manager (male or female) to lead the group forward.

The team is in a great place with 2 excellent coaches who are happy to continue working with the team (just not in a full-time manager role due to work commitments), a brilliant group of parents and an amazing set of kids who are a pleasure to be around

The club will fully support the new manager, including funding and access to coaching courses where needed.

They currently train on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with matches on Sundays, though there is flexibility to adjust this to suit everyone where possible.
