Morning all, due to the heatwave all junior sessions will be cancelled Tuesday to Friday. The guidance states that children activity should be cancelled when temperatures are above 30.

Our weeks fixtures are all confirmed. On Saturday a couple of our juniors have arranged Away fixtures to make way for the Simon Robinshaw Memorial Festival on Saturday. Masters teams from all over the country are expected at Prospect Rd. For what promises to be an outstanding day of Masters RL.

And on Wednesday night our 2nd team will be hosting the Royal Air Force as our emerging talent get to go through their match routines against what will certainly be some stiff opposition. 💙💜🏉

Water Safety report: 🏊🤿

Toll Bar Under 9’s embarked on an educational trip to Hatfield Water Park on Tuesday evening, where they participated in a vital water safety program led by the company Swimyourswim. This initiative aimed to equip the group with essential knowledge and practical skills for staying safe in and around water environments.

During the session, the team was introduced to a range of important safety techniques. These included understanding the 'Float to live' principle, learning how to use the throw ropes effectively and identifying potential hazards in open water. They also covered basic self-rescue techniques and how to call for help in an emergency, emphasising the importance of staying calm and making smart decisions.

The instructors from Swim Your Swim made sure to demonstrate each technique clearly, allowing the children to practice in a controlled and supportive setting. With so many recent tragedies involving young people in open water, programs like the one at Hatfield Water Park are absolutely vital for educating children on water safety.

Only 2 weeks now until we host the Yorkshshire Clubs Masters festival again at Prospect Rd. This has now been branded as the Simon Robinshaw Memorial festival who sadly lost his short battle with illness at the end of last year.

We hope to see many teams down once again and preparations are in full swing at Doncaster Toll Bar to make this another fantastic event.

A late change to our weekly fixtures. There will be no adult games this week after our 1st team game was cancelled due to referee shortages. Stay tuned for an update on the rearranged date for the fixture.

Plenty of junior rugby league to get your teeth into although we are mostly on the road this week. Our solitary home fixture on Saturday sees our under 12s Girls entertaining Birkenshaw and our Under 8s our only home fixture on Sunday. 💙💜🏉

After weeks of hard work, dedication, and fantastic effort in training, our U7s finally had the opportunity to showcase everything they have been learning. The players have worked incredibly hard, developing their skills, confidence, and understanding of the game, and it was great to see them put that into practice. Most importantly, they played with big smiles on their faces, and this made coaches Josh and Adam proud to be their coaches and this is just the beginning of their rugby journey and we can’t wait to see their continued progress throughout the season.💙💜🏉
