πŸ’œπŸ’™ YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU! πŸ’™πŸ’œ

Our 1st Team have a massive game this Saturday against Hunslet, and it promises to be a tough battle on the field and a fantastic spectacle for everyone watching.

We need YOU to get behind the boys, raise the roof and cheer them on as they look to book their place in the Final at Batley! πŸ‰πŸ”₯

🌟 BRING THE FUTURE OF THE CLUB TO BACK THE PRESENT! 🌟All juniors encouraged to attend

This Saturday also sees our inaugural 'Old Boys Day' β€” so spread the word and get down to the club to catch up, share stories and reminisce with players from years gone by over a complementary Beer.

It’s a day to celebrate where we’ve come from, where we are now and where we’re going. πŸ’œπŸ’™

🀝 In partnership with Red Lady Promotions

We can only put days like this together with your support of red lady, and through Red Lady Promotions we’ve been able to give back to our members with lots of fantastic offers, activities and more throughout the day.

So get yourselves down, bring the family, bring your friends and most importantly…

BRING THE NOISE!!!! πŸ“£

Let’s get behind the boys and show everyone exactly how we do it…

So unfortunately after a great weekend returning to rugby, we have someone once again thinking it is ok to take something without paying for it!

We beefed up security on the previously broken into door and changed our practices so there is literally no cash now left on site, the till is also now left with the drawer open to prevent further damage. It seems our other door now need some care and attention.

Due to our practice changes, the culprit decided that a fridge full of Orange JΒ²0 and Red Bull would be a worthy haul for his efforts. He did take a considerable amount of time getting in this time and we think it may be something to do with enjoying wearing his mums pants on his head whilst carrying out the deed!!

If anyone has any CCTV footage from the surrounding areas of our club at around 01:00 this morning we would be grateful if it could be passed on. Male on a bike carrying a few heavy bags with cans and bottles in. He wears distinctive clothing in the footage we have so we are sure he will appear on other security cameras.

Once again this undermines the fantastic work our volunteers do and the efforts they put into our community club, once again we have to redirect funds to improve security and pay for all the damage caused. We are a community club, make very little profit on our sales and rely heavily on donations to provide the service we do.

Our 1st team rounded of their regular league campaign away at Hunslet today and kept their 100% record intact making it 13 wins out of 13 as they head into the playoffs. Full time at the Oval Hunslet 10-30 Toll Bar.

Head coach Peter Green "Was really proud of the effort from the team who stepped up to beat a physical Hunslet side.

The lads adapted to a few positional changes well and a number of players played more minutes than usual and did a great job.

Luke Cade and Charlie Kirk had big games alongside Kieron Lawton and Jack Green who were constant threats in attack.

We look forward to welcoming Hunslet to Toll Bar next week in our first play off game."

Tries: Keiron Lawton, Charlie Kirk, Jack Green, Dom Riley, Harry Maule

This weekend is Charities Round for the RL pro clubs and here at Doncaster Toll Bar we are getting on board.

There will be a bucket going round the pitch during tonight's game to donate to one of the Ossett Trinity Tigers players to add to their sponsored walk. We have also now had a mixed grill donated by club Secretary Steve Davis to be raffled off with all proceeds also going toward the Ossett walk for Faith.

Please bring cash and donate generously. The Just Hiving link will also be displayed in the clubhouse πŸ’™πŸ’œπŸ‰

Great to hear the news that both Nathan and Kaz have signed academy contracts after finding their love of rugby through our tots club.

They were members of the original tots initiative which started well over 10 years ago from which we have launched many successful teams since.

We wish the lads the very best of luck as they continue their rugby journey, we are pretty sure they won't need luck as their skills will shine through. Go smash it lads!!

And like it says in the article, other young lads and lasses from Doncaster Toll Bar ARLFC could and should look to emulate them. Rugby League is simply the best team game there is!!

It may be a top of the table clash on Friday night down at Prospect Rd. But an Ossett Trinity Tigers family are fighting a much bigger battle at the moment.

Some of the Ossett supporters and staff are walking from their ground to ours before the match to raise money for one of their players daughters who is ill.

During the game on Friday, club chairman Gavin Lawton will be walking around the pitch with a bucket which you can all donate towards Faith and her family. There is also a link on their original post for those unable to attend on Friday night.

Kick off 19:00 with the walkers expected to arrive at Prospect Rd shortly after 17:00

All at Doncaster Toll Bar wish Faith and her family all the best going forward in their treatment. πŸ’™πŸ’œπŸ‰

Shocking news we have to bring you all today unfortunately πŸ˜”

The bright spark below decided he wanted whatever was in the clubhouse without the need to pay for it. Taking into consideration we don't leave cash on site and the vast majority of people pay on card nowadays he got away with a raffle tin, the Evestrust charity donation box and a couple of half empty spirit bottles.

Anyway he showed he used his full brain capacity after weighing all this up by breaking into the club, entering and then locking himself back out again when he came to get his swag bag πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ. With what he got and the time taken, he would have earned more cash spending time productively in a minimum wage job πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Training will still be on as usual as members can still use the outside area without any issues. Our main concern is that as a non-profit organisation we now have to fork out to repair all the damage and improve our security once again. This ultimately means money we could have used to improve the facilities and equipment for hundreds of people to use has to now be redirected to put right the damage which will be well into four figures!

We believe other businesses in the area were also targeted last night and if anyone has any information, we request that it be shared with us, anonymously if you prefer.
