Update from PADI
Dear Paul,
I hope you are continuing to stay safe and well.
You will hopefully be aware of the latest guidelines issued by the British Diving Safety Group on the 21st May, which opened the possibility of shore diving again, subject to specific regulations for England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. You can read them in full here.
This is an important step in the right direction. We are also hopeful that this will enable the inland dive sites to begin to open their doors again.
Yesterday the government also paved the way for non-essential businesses in England to reopen from the 15th June, giving us a clear pathway to reopening many dive centres. Although more information has yet to follow on this, it is another important milestone and reason for optimism.
If you have not already done so, please make sure you have listened to our COVID-19 Risk Reduction webinars and that you have reviewed the Best Practises document PADI has produced, available on the PADI COVID-19 Resource Hub.
