Strong foundations don’t limit a dancer, they give them freedom.

The control to turn.

Whether a dancer goes on to ballet, jazz, contemporary, commercial or musical theatre, strong classical technique elevates everything that comes after it.

What a year for YCA 💕

As we prepare to begin another year at Yorkshire Classical Associates, we’re incredibly proud to look back on some of the achievements of our dancers throughout 2025–2026.

Strong classical foundations, consistent training, discipline and artistry all contribute to developing strong, versatile and well-rounded dancers.

✨ We are absolutely thrilled for these three wonderful YCA students who have successfully auditioned for the prestigious Royal Ballet School Junior Associates programme.

🩰 Florence R and Florence E have both been awarded in-person places, while Ailsa has been offered online training alongside a place on the short waiting list.

Florence R has worked incredibly hard for three years at YCA, and we always knew this was possible with her dedication.

Florence E has trained with YCA for two years, working tirelessly towards her dream, and now it has become a reality.

Ailsa only joined YCA in September, and the progress she has made in such a short time has been amazing. What a fantastic achievement, keep going!

We are so proud of all three girls. ❤️

These talented dancers also train at Melissa Tweddle under the guidance of Melissa Tweddle, who does an incredible job with the Dance Force children. We honestly don’t know where she keeps finding all these gorgeous little ballerinas! 🩰✨

Today we look forward to welcoming dancers to Yorkshire Classical Associates for our 2025/26 auditions.
