Joe Halstead Sports Coaching Warmsworth Holiday Camps This summer I will be running pop up session at Warmsworth cricket field !

Every Wednesday and Thursday in August

Sessions will be split with a AM and PM session

10-11.30 and 1-2.30

And on friday’s we will have football fridays at 10-12 and 1-3

Morning all 🙂 Fully booked today!

Please make sure all children have water bottles and are dressed for a windy morning and a very sunny afternoon (tough combination, I know!). I’ll always try to remind children to apply sun cream and keep hats on too 🙂

If you are paying on arrival, please hand payment over in an envelope or piece of paper with your child’s name and contact information on it — this saves you having to fill out our forms.

Also, I received a lovely message from the cricket club, which really shows what community is all about:

“Hi Joe, it’s Charlotte from Warmsworth Cricket Club. I’ve seen your holiday camp has been moved to Thursday. Just to let you know we have a very large funeral at the club Thursday, so we will be opening the gate onto the field. When parents come to collect their kids, they are more than welcome to park on the field instead of potentially blocking residents in on Common Lane if they see the car park full.”

❌❌❌ CAMP POSTPONED – DATE CHANGE ❌❌❌

Good afternoon everyone,

It’s with a heavy heart that I’ve decided to postpone tomorrow’s camp and move it to Thursday 28th. If you would like to move your child onto this new date, please let me know.

I just wouldn’t feel comfortable or safe having the children running around in this heat for 6 hours with very little shade available.

I’ve had my own lad out in it for just a couple of hours today — with the benefit of a paddling pool — and even he was ready to come back inside.

On top of that, my phone has already overheated today, and I’d hate to be in a situation where I couldn’t contact parents if needed.

I hope you all understand. Please comment below if you would like to move to Thursday instead.

Also, if possible, could you please share this post so parents are aware before tomorrow.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but I’m sure you’ll agree that the children’s safety comes first. I don’t want 6 hours in 30+ degree heat ruining the rest of their holidays.

Good morning everyone ☀️☀️☀️

Mr Halstead ended up with some lovely red burn marks on his shoulders after using the wrong sun cream while on BBQ duty yesterday 😂

Please make sure children come with hats and sun cream tomorrow and Wednesday (unlike me yesterday!!!!).

If you send them with sun cream, I’ll try to remind them to reapply during the day when I do mine 😊

We have a tap for refilling water bottles, but I’ll also bring some extra bottles of water too.

We still have 3 spaces left for tomorrow if anyone would like to join us!

Please bring: packed lunch, lots of fluids, hat, sun cream !

Incredible news!!!
After the success of previous sessions, JHSC FOOTBALL FOUNDATION is continuing to offering sessions and activities at a brand new venue during the upcoming May school holidays!!!!

I have only made this decision so late based on the rubbish weather we have had but next week looks to be warmer so if thou are happy children playing in the sun I’m happy to too 🙂

This will be a TWO day special, football focused camp!

Tuesday 26th May

Wednesday 27th May

As always, there are limited places available 🟧booking is essential, be quick!

Time: 9-3 🕰️

Venue: Warmsworth Lions 🦁 football pitch, across from the cricket club. This can be accessed via Stapleton Road or Glebe Street, Warmsworth.

Price: £20 per day Sibling discounts available

If it rains, we’ll still play, so please wrap up and dress to stay dry. Football boots are optional but recommended , shin pads required.

We will have access to the Hut, so will eat lunch inside. You will need a packed lunch and refillable water bottle.

No football experience necessary just the desire to play!
