Joe Halstead Sports Coaching Warmsworth Holiday Camps This summer I will be running pop up session at Warmsworth cricket field !

Every Wednesday and Thursday in August

Sessions will be split with a AM and PM session

10-11.30 and 1-2.30

And on friday’s we will have football fridays at 10-12 and 1-3

Good evening everyone! ⚽️

With no thunder forecast for tomorrow, we are going to go ahead with Football Friday, 9am–1pm! 🙌⚽️

However, it does look like we may get some light rain for the final couple of hours, so parents are more than welcome to collect their children at any point if they would prefer to. 😊

I’m going to try my best to run the full session, so please make sure children come dressed appropriately for the weather and bring a waterproof jacket.

With the ground being extremely hard but also having had a lot of water on it over the last 24 hours, I would recommend moulded football boots or astroturf boots and shin pads.

As we may have some light rain, please also make sure that when you drop children off, you have a contact number written on a piece of paper ready to hand to me. This means I have everyone’s contact details with me should we need to stop the session early.

As always, please make sure children have:
⚽️ Appropriate clothing for the weather
💧 A water bottle
🍎 Snacks or a small lunch if they would like one, as it is a 4-hour session

Important information — please read and share ⚠️

With heavy rain currently expected tomorrow from 9am–3pm, alongside a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms and heavy rain, I have made the decision to cancel tomorrow’s sessions.

I wanted to make this decision now to give parents as much notice as possible and allow you time to make alternative plans, as I know many families use these sessions to help with childcare.

I’m hopeful that Friday’s session will still be able to go ahead, but I’ll see what the weather brings tomorrow and will update everyone around this time tomorrow with a further decision.

Good morning everyone! Hope you’re all surviving and have made it to Week 6! 😂

This week we have 4 FREE hours every day from Tuesday 25th–Friday 28th, thanks to the amazing Parish Council! 🙌

📅 Tuesday 25th – Multi-Skills
⏰ 9–11 & 12–2

📅 Wednesday 26th – Multi-Skills
⏰ 9–11 & 12–2

📅 Thursday 27th – Multi-Skills
⏰ 9–12 & 12–2

📅 Friday 28th – FINAL FOOTBALL FRIDAY! ⚽
⏰ 9–1

All sessions are completely FREE to attend! 🎉and children can attend as many as they like even two a day 🙂

All children need is:
💧 A water bottle
🍎 A snack — or a packed lunch if they want one for Football Friday
👨‍👩‍👧 Someone to sign them in

🏅 And that’s a wrap on the Joe Halstead Sports Coaching Holiday Camps! 🏅

What an unbelievable 4 days! It has been fantastic seeing so many new and familiar faces, with children ranging from Year 1 all the way to the oldest who first taught over 8 years ago.

The biggest highlight has been watching children spending time outdoors, making new friends, building confidence and creating memories that could last a lifetime.

A huge well done to all of our younger children who truly showed what B.E.S.T. is all about:
⭐ Behaviour
⭐ Effort
⭐ Skills
⭐ Teamwork

You were all absolutely amazing!

A special shout-out also goes to our older children who attended. You couldn’t have done any more to help and support the younger ones. Seeing children who are now in secondary school stepping in to coach, encourage and even move out of the way of shots on goal so the younger children could score and enjoy their own special moment was brilliant to see. Those acts of kindness are what sport is all about. ❤️⚽

But we’re not finished yet!

Thanks to the incredible support of Warmsworth Parish Council, we still have 24 hours of FREE sports sessions to enjoy!

🌞 Final Holiday Camp of the Summer – Today! 🌞

If you’ve got jobs to get done, errands to run, or simply want the kids to enjoy a day outdoors full of sport, fun and laughter with a fantastic group of children, we still have a few places available!

📍 Warmsworth Cricket Club
🕘 9:00am – 3:00pm
💷 £20 per child

All they need to bring is:
🥪 A packed lunch
💧 A refillable water bottle (I also bring plenty of extra water throughout the day!)
🧴 Sun cream
🧢 A hat (optional – we have lots of shade and regular rest breaks)

⚽🏏🏹 Expect a full day of exciting activities, games and making new friends!

🎉 What an amazing first full week of our FREE summer sessions! 🎉

Over 60 children joined us across 16 hours of free activities, taking part in multi-skills, archery, cricket, dodgeball, football and so much more! It has been fantastic to see so many children staying active, making friends and having fun over the summer holidays. Thank you to everyone who has come along and supported the sessions! 🙌

2 amazing days at holiday camps this week! 🎉

Just a quick note – after checking all contact information and payments, I’m still around 5 places short across the two days.

This may simply be because forms or payments have been forgotten, or children may still have the money in their bags and forgotten to hand it in. If that’s the case, please could you make sure any outstanding payments are brought along the next time your child attends. 😊

We still have places available for next week, and everyone is, of course, welcome to attend the sessions this week too!
