After 10 incredible years, I have made the heartbreaking decision to close the doors of Care2Dance.
Care2Dance has been such a huge part of my life for the last decade.
What started as a simple dream to create inclusive dance classes became something far greater than I could ever have imagined and our little group truly did become a family.
Over the past 10 years, I have had the absolute privilege of meeting the most amazing, kind-hearted and inspirational people.
The friendships and connections formed through Care2Dance have truly been life changing — not only for those who attended classes, but for me personally too.
There have been times in my life where things felt incredibly difficult, and honestly, some of my darkest days were made brighter because of the amazing people at Care2Dance.
The love, support, encouragement and kindness shown to me over the years is something I will never ever forget. So many of you probably don’t even realise the impact you have had on my life simply by showing up every week, dancing, smiling, supporting one another, and believing in what Care2Dance stood for.
Care2Dance was never “just a dance class.” It was a place where everyone belonged. A place where confidence grew, where friendships were formed, where parents and carers found support in one another, and where people could simply be themselves without judgement.
I truly believe many of those bonds will continue long into the future.
I want to take this opportunity to thank every single person who has been part of this journey.
To everyone who attended classes over the years — thank you for trusting me, supporting me, and allowing me to spend countless hours doing something I absolutely loved. You gave me purpose, joy and memories I will treasure forever.
To all of the wonderful businesses and organisations I have had the privilege of working alongside — thank you for believing in Care2Dance and helping support our journey.
To my family — thank you for standing by me through every crazy idea, every stressful moment, every late night, every event, and every challenge.
And finally, to every student, parent, carer, volunteer and supporter who walked through our doors over the last 10 years — thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Care2Dance only existed because of all of you, and I will forever be grateful for the love and support you gave me.
Next Thursday will be our final class, and the doors will be open to anyone who would like to come along, say goodbye, share memories, or simply dance with us one last time. I know it will be an incredibly emotional evening, but I would love to celebrate everything Care2Dance has been and all the lives it has touched over the years.
Although this chapter is coming to an end, the memories, friendships and love created through Care2Dance will stay with me forever.
Thank you, truly, for allowing me to follow my dream for the last 10 years 💛
