Another great session this morning with the team.

Today’s focus was STRENGTH.

No shortcuts.
No fancy tricks.
Just hard work and purposeful training.

A gym-style swim session designed to build the strength, control and endurance needed for faster, more efficient swimming on race day.

The goal isn’t just to swim further.

The goal is to become stronger through the water.

Massive congratulations to Jayne Baldwin 👏🔥

Jayne, who trains with our 615 All Stars Triathlon Swim Coaching group, has just competed at the European Championships in Tarragona, Spain 🇪🇸 competing in both Sprint & Standard Distance events.

To top it off… she recorded the FASTEST swim split in her age category 🤩🏊‍♀️💨

That’s what consistent hard work, smart training and commitment looks like.

Strength isn’t built through intensity alone.

Even forged steel needs cooling before it becomes stronger.

Lots of athletes wanting constant pressure this week:

more miles
more sessions
more suffering

But without recovery, reflection and balance…
eventually we become brittle.

Train hard.
Recover harder.
Repeat with purpose.

Chaos into order.

Greek blacksmiths understood something important:

Metal is strengthened by:

1. intense heat
2. hammering
3. cooling
4. repetition

Without the cooling phase, the metal becomes brittle and breaks.

That’s the lesson.

Just triathletes, water bottles and hard work.

Tonight’s focus:
PACE CHANGE & SPEED WORK

Learning to stay composed whilst uncomfortable.
Finding another gear when the body wants to slow down.
Training the mind as much as the body.

Because race day is never steady.
It changes constantly.

STRENGTH & ENDURANCE

Today’s session was all about learning how to stay strong under fatigue.

Changing pace.
Changing stroke.
Holding form when tired.
Staying composed under pressure.

Because racing isn’t smooth.

You have to adapt.
Respond.
Control effort.
And keep moving forward when the body starts fighting back.
