The Lincolnshire County Football Association held its Annual Awards Evening on Friday 17th October at Belton Wooids Hotel, Grantham. Mr Clive Fisher and Mr David Birkett were both honoured by the County for their services to local football. Clive Fisher received the Counties highest individual honour the Meritorius Award in recognition of his 40 plus years service to the Gainsborough Sunday League. David Birkett received the Long Service Award for his dedication and service to the League both as a Committee Member and as a Referee. Both Awards were richly deserved.

Our League Chairman Grahame Lyner was 80 on Sunday 16th February, a gathering of Family, Friends and Collegues met at The Bluesd Club for a surprise party for Grahame. His dedication to local football across Lincolnshire is an example to us all. Grahame has been on the County FA for so many years and is the President Of Lincolnshire County FA. As Chairman of the League his dedication to the Gainsborough Football scene both senior and youth has been the corner stone of the grassroots game we all love. Congratulations Grahame.
