AFC Bentley Girls U15s(26/27) are on the lookout for new players to join our brilliant set of girls for the 26/27 season. We play in the Sheffield & Hallam League. Just finished 3rd in Div 2 so looking like it’s going to be back to back promotions. We are currently on our end of season break and will start back training on the 7th July. If you have any interest please get in touch. 🟢⚽️🔵

Champions League WINNERS 🏆

Brilliant tournament today. Very hard fought games throughout the whole tournament and some fantastic goals scored.

We finished top of our group stage and met SJR Worksop in the final coming out as 2-0 winners 🟢🏆🔵

Big shout out to Summer from our U14s who Played up an age group today to help us out and she held her own against some big players. Well done buddy 👏

Well, we did it. 2025/2026 Doncaster & District Premier Division League CUP 🏆winners!! Sounds great doesn’t it 🏆👏💙💚.
Big respect to Daniel Ronan and the lads from Dunscroft United.
We’ve had some battles over the years and Dunscroft have usually come out on top. But not this time. We took an early lead, when in the 2nd minute Shane McHale scored, he only went and scored again on 15 minutes.. Then the long range finishes started with Liam Clark grabbing his 1st goal for us. 3-0 half time. Pinch me!!!
Then Brandon Thompson and Danny Halliday hit 2 beauties making it 5-0.
We dominated from start to finish, everybody was immense, and deservedly won the cup.. 🏆

Post Match Report

Sheffield Cup Round 2

AFC Bentley 2-2 Sheff Wednesday
(Bentley win 3-1 on penalties)

In today’s 2nd round of the cup game we came up against Sheffield Wednesdays. A team that in our previous 2 fixtures have came out as clear winners against us.

It wasn’t a great start for Bentley. Sheffield pinning Bentley back in their own half for a good 10 minutes before scoring a well deserved opener with a well taken strike from their attacker. 0-1

Bentley then started to battle back. Fighting for every ball and keeping the game competitive.

We went into half time 0-1 down. The half time team talk worked really well. We just asked the girls to keep fighting and chances will fall their way.

Bentley equalised around 10 minutes into the second half. The goal coming from the left hand side. Maisy winning the ball from their keepers goal kick and played the ball central to Scarlett who then played a lovely through ball into Olivia to fire into the back of the goal 1-1

It was a very closely contested game. Sheffield then regained their lead. They had numerous shots saved and blocked by our defence before the lose ball dropped to their striker who fired home 1-2

Our girls never gave up and kept looking for that equaliser.

Scarlett was taken out after a brilliant run on the right hand side of the box to win us a free kick.

Maisy with a quality free kick, put the ball on a plate for Olivia who at the back post headed into the top left corner to bring the game level 2-2

Straight to Penalties.

We told the girls no matter the result of the penalties they had done themselves and Bentley proud today.

We came out as 3-1 winners to go through to the next round. 👏

Man of the match today we actually chose 3 players.

Firstly our 2 Center Backs Ryleigh and Gracie. It’s the first time they’ve been partnered at CB and they worked tirelessly to keep Sheffield out. 👏

And second our Goalkeeper Maddie. Made some fantastic saves during the game and a crucial save with only a couple of minutes remaining. She also saved 3 penalties at the end 👏
