🚨 A HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨
Football at Brodsworth is woven into the very fabric of Doncaster’s sporting history. Founded in 1910, the club’s proud legacy includes FA Cup appearances, league clashes with Leeds United, and memorable games hosting FC United of Manchester. The Brodsworth pitch has even been graced by legends such as Jack Charlton and Billy Bremner — names that remind us just how rich this ground’s history truly is.
For decades, Brodsworth was the beating heart of local football.
In more recent times, the famous ground has welcomed a number of teams through its gates. One of the most notable tenants to share the ground was Sutton Rovers, a club that quickly rose to prominence and established itself as one of the strongest sides in the region. Pushed on by local legend such Toby Dennis (RIP), Sutton’s passion and quality built a legacy that will always be remembered in Doncaster football. Sutton eventually evolved into Hatfield Town, continuing to make their mark across the local game.
Now, after many passionate conversations, shared ambitions, and a bold new vision for the future, these two great clubs have decided to join forces.
🔥 Brodsworth and Hatfield Town have officially merged – uniting under one banner to become a powerhouse of local football.
This partnership represents far more than a merger; it’s a statement of intent. Together, we’re bringing tier football back to Brodsworth, building a club that will not only lead Doncaster but set new standards across the region and beyond.
An ambitious, community-driven club that has grown from just two men’s teams three years ago to now boasting:
✅ A Central Midlands men’s team
✅ A Doncaster Senior League men’s team
✅ Two ladies’ teams
✅ Seventeen junior teams
✅ And one of the fastest-growing soccer schools in the area for children aged 18 months to 9 years
This is more than a merger; this is a movement.
Together, we are united, ambitious, and ready to make history once again.
*Brodsworth Main FC currently sit 3rd in the Central Midlands Premier North and will play their first game as Brodsworth Main FC this weekend. Let's pack The Welfare Ground and turn the place into a fortress.*
