🏆 That's a Wrap! 💙

What a way to round off an incredible day of football!

After five tough group games in the blazing sunshine, the Pilks had done enough to earn a place in the tournament final for the Champions Cup, where we faced Brodsworth Warrior Blues once again.

Both teams had spent the entire day battling the heat, but you'd never have known it from the effort on display. Every player dug deep and gave absolutely everything they had left in the tank. Brodsworth found the breakthrough in the first half and, despite our boys throwing everything at it until the final whistle, we just couldn't find the equaliser.

While the result didn't quite go our way, there's so much more to football than the final score.
Every single player should be immensely proud of themselves. The teamwork, determination, resilience and attitude shown throughout the day were a credit to both the club and their families. Seeing every player collect their medal with a smile was a fitting reward for a fantastic day's effort. 🏅💙

Of course, the day wouldn't have been complete without one last surprise from the parents! Under the clever disguise of a post-match team talk, the team suddenly found themselves getting a little wet as bottles of water came flying over them! 💦😂 Naturally, the coaches weren't escaping either... although Evie was granted a special exemption in the interests of protecting those freshly done eyebrows! 😄

A huge thank you to everyone who made today possible—our players, coaches, parents and supporters. From football to water fights, laughter to medals, it's been a day we'll all remember.

Congratulations to Brodsworth Warrior Blues on winning the Champions Cup, and thank you to all the teams for a brilliant day of grassroots football.

And with that, the curtain falls on our 2025/26 season. It's been a season full of memories, progress and plenty of smiles. Enjoy a well-earned summer break, everyone—we can't wait to see what next season brings.

⚽️ Full Time – Final Group Game 💙

The group stage finishes with an entertaining 1-1 draw against Edenthorpe Black.

The Pilks rounded off the day with another superb team performance. Every player gave absolutely everything, working tirelessly for one another and showing the fantastic team spirit that has been on display throughout the tournament.

Our goal came courtesy of a brilliantly struck free kick from Leo. 🚀⚽ A moment of real quality that was thoroughly deserved!

As always, every single player played their part. Whether making tackles, creating chances, tracking back or encouraging teammates, it was another performance to be proud of.

Whatever happens next, the boys have represented Pilkingtons FC brilliantly today with their attitude, effort and togetherness. 💙👏
Now we wait to see where today's results leave us...

⚽️ Match 4 Update 💙

Another point on the board after a hard-fought draw against Wheatley Wanderers.

With the temperatures climbing and the sun at its fiercest, the Pilks refused to let the heat get the better of them. Every player dug deep, chased down every loose ball and continued to battle for every opportunity right until the final whistle. The effort and commitment from the whole squad has been outstanding all day. ☀️💙

A special mention goes to Gabe, who stepped up to put on the goalkeeper gloves for the game and did a fantastic job between the sticks. 👏🧤 It's great to see players willing to put the team first whenever they're needed.

One final group game remains against Edenthorpe Black. One last push, lads—let's leave everything out on the pitch! 💙⚽

⚽️ Match 3 Update 💙

Whether it was the team talk, the lunch or the lunchtime water fight, something certainly re-energised the boys and girl! 💦😄 They came back out full of energy, confidence and determination, and it showed from the first whistle.

Credit to Stainforth Juniors, who were organised, competitive and played their part in a brilliant game of football. They made us work hard throughout and never gave an inch.
The Pilks kept believing, kept working for one another and were rewarded with a well-deserved victory. The smiles at the final whistle said it all! 💙⚽

⚽️ FULL TIME | Pilkingtons FC U10s 0️⃣-0️⃣ Retford United Blacks ⚽️

Another solid performance from the Pilks sees us pick up another point! 💙

The team more than held their own, working tirelessly in the heat and creating some great chances throughout the game. On another day, one of them could easily have found the back of the net.

At the other end, our defence was rock solid, meaning there wasn't a great deal for our keeper to do—a testament to the effort and organisation of the whole team. 👏

Now it's time for a well-earned break before the next fixture. Plenty of fluids, a bite to eat and a chance to recharge those batteries... although there are rumours that a few water pistols have mysteriously appeared and may be making an appearance! 🔫💦😄

Two games down, still unbeaten, and all to play for this afternoon!

A hard-fought opening game for the Pilks in the blazing sunshine! ☀️🥵

Both teams gave absolutely everything, battling from the first whistle to the last. There were plenty of determined tackles, great teamwork and some promising attacking play, but despite both sides creating chances, neither team could find the breakthrough.

A well-earned point to start the day, with lots of positives to build on as the tournament continues.

💧 Time to cool down, rehydrate and get ready for the next one!

⚽️☀️ IT'S TOURNAMENT DAY! ☀️⚽️

The boots are on, the kids are here, and the excitement is building as our Pilkingtons FC Under 10s get ready for a brilliant day of football in Retford! 💙

It's shaping up to be a scorcher, so keeping everyone hydrated is going to be just as important as finding the back of the net. We might even have to introduce a few World Cup-style hydration breaks... don't worry, we'll try not to make them last quite as long! 😅💦

A big shout out to the parents who have already tackled the morning's first challenge... putting up the gazebo! Safe to say you can definitely tell who's been camping before... and who's just really good at holding poles while someone else reads the instructions! 😂⛺

Good luck to every team taking part today. Let's enjoy the football, cheer each other on, and make plenty of great memories.

⚽️ Tournament Day Tomorrow! 💙

Our Pilkingtons FC Under 10s are heading over to Retford for what promises to be a fantastic day of football.

The team will be taking on:
🔹 Brodsworth Warrior Blues
🔹 Retford United Blacks
🔹 Stainforth Juniors
🔹 Wheatley Wanderers
🔹 Edenthorpe Black

The hard work has been done in training, now it's time to enjoy the experience, support each other, and give every game our best.

Good luck to all of the teams taking part—we can't wait to see some brilliant football and, most importantly, for the kids to have a great day making memories.
