Just when you thought the season was over.... its friendlies and tournaments and presentation events!!! 🤩🤩🤩
Heres the activity from the weekend:

🔴 U9's played a friendly with Charlestown in very close encounter, with several new faces it was all about getting back on the pitch.
Both teams started well, creating chances and playing some good football. Unfortunately Charlestown got a couple of quick goals so we had some work to do!
But a brilliant team goal was finished off well by Tommy and shortly after Dexter got us level with a brilliant strike on his debut.
Despite getting ourselves we couldn't quite go on and get the win as we let Charlestown score a couple more.
A friendly penalty shootout took place after the game in which there was some brilliant penalties and also some brilliant saves from Jack. 🤫🤫

🔴 U10s took advantage of a weekend without tournament and hosted a friendly with local rivals Liskeard & St Cleer.
As always, a tight encounter, with both sides displaying some great passing football.
It was a fairly even contest, with SC&L edging it at half time, but Dobwalls used the slight slope in the second half and grew further into the game and got their goal.
This sparked another gear in SC&L who struck back again shortly after. We threw everything at them for the remainder of the match, but it was met with some fine goalkeeping and last ditch defending.
A great workout for both sides!

🔴 U12 Girls took in their first tournament of the summer on a hot Saturday afternoon at Biscovey.
Facing off against 4 other teams with a group stage followed by knockout phase.
The girls adapted brilliantly to the short fast-paced matches with 3 wins and 1 draw in the group stage - topping the table.
We then had close semi-final with Truro Panthers, going behind for the first time in the day. But a late, late, late equalisier from Katy took us into extra time where the girls took control and Elsa grabbed the winner.
A final against the tricky Newquay Rebels team was a tense affair, but a slick bit of control and cool finish from Paige and then a thunderous strike from Elsa sealed the win and the trophy!
Fantastic afternoon for the new team, in their new kit - shoutout to our sponsors Trueflow Heating & Plumbing LTD for supporting us and providing some amazing threads for the girls to shine in.

🔴 U13s celebrated their league season by attending the Cornwall Youth Football League presentation event at Brannel school.
The team have had a fantastic season, finishing as League 1 East runners-up after an unbeaten run in the new year which saw them push for the title to the last game.

🔴 U16s also signed off their season by attending the Devon Junior & Minor League presentation event at Plymouth Arena.
The team competed brilliantly in their debut DJM season, finishing as league runners-up in a highly competitive Falcon division.

The league season finally finishing for our teams and tournment time for others...

🔴 U8s travelled to Biscovey for the last game of the season, and found ourselves travelling with only 6 players.
Despite going a goal behind relatively early, the team, as usual, didn’t panic and slowly but surely played their way back into the game with some brilliant passing and link up play which created chances, finishing enough of them to seal the win.
Some of our defending was brilliant which limited the opposition to minimal opportunities.

🔴 U10s played their second tournament of the season at Bodmin, and on a warm sunny morning hit the ground running. Taking onboard what had been practiced in training, got off to a flyer. 5 games to play in their group, and it all came down to the final game where a win would secure second place - and it went all the way but 2 minutes from time-a well worked goal saw us grab the result and put us through to the semi finals.
This would be where the journey ended as we came up against a very strong St Blazey side, who went on to win the tournament.
None the less a great tournament, with some of the best football played the season from front the back. Well done U10s

🔴 U12s had a football-filled afternoon at Bodmin Youth Tournament and came away as runners-up - defeated in the final to a good St Agnes team.
Some of the best football we have played in a long time saw us top the qualifying group and took us through a semi-final with some really well worked goals throughout.
The movement off ball, driving runs from deep and measured passing into space caused havoc and every player on the team had moments to celebrate.
Really proud of the performance this weekend - they were so awesome.

Better late than never... round up of the single Dobwalls Juniors match of the weekend...

🔴 U8s made the trip to St Mawgan and put on another dominant display.
What was really pleasing to see was a big step up in our physicality and putting pressure on the opposition really quickly which meant we enjoyed a lot of the possession.
We used the width well and it was brilliant to see the players running into the spaces.. again some of our interplay and passing was superb which in turn created lots of opportunities for us.
I’ve been badgering the players constantly to be more vocal on the pitch and today they really were!!
1 more game to go and that will finish of our season..
I don’t know how the parents managed to pick out just one player as they were all brilliant!

Four matches for our juniors today in some glorious spring weather....

🔴 U9s finished of our league campaign with a thrilling game away to Charlestown
A slow start meant we went a goal down but after that we found more rhythm and started to create regular chances, getting ourselves ahead with 2 brilliant goals from Tyler and then Tommy.
After this the game turned chaotic with goals seeming to fly in with every attack! We found ourselves up with a few minutes left with Leo pulling all the strings with an absolutely outstanding display.
A late goal against made for a nervy ending, but we managed to get over the line.
🤩 Parents PotM: Leo.. excellent performance and a couple of brilliant goals.
⚽️ Coaches PotM: Tyler for his relentless work rate and brilliant goal, and Arthur who worked very hard and took his goal brilliantly.

🔴 U10s final game of the season against a well organised Big Shots team.
We were low on numbers but that didn’t stop the lads putting in a shift, players asked to play in different positions to usual but adapted well.
Went in behind at half time, but playing down the slope in the 3rd quarter saw the team find a bit of rhythm as they created a few chances.
As the match went on some tired legs, combined with a strong opposition bench saw the result go to the away side.
😎 Supporters PotM: Bradley
👐 Coaches PotM: shared between the two goalkeepers Cian and Rogan for both having a stint in and out of goal.

A massive season long thank you to Matt for being our ref this season once again. Always on point, fair, and respected by the players and coaches both home and away.

🔴 U11s faced Biscovey at home and fell behind to a brilliantly struck effort early on.
From there, Dobwalls switched the momentum completely, powering through the rest of the game and giving Biscovey very little to work with. A superb penalty save from Ice 🧊 (Marin) kept the team in control.
👏 PotM: Koen for his tremendous work rate up front, pressing hard, playing for the team, and deservedly getting himself on the scoresheet.

🔴 U12 Girls had their second friendly as a new team, this time against a very good Saltash Sabres team.
With some of the squad not available it provided a chance for others to shine and the workrate was outstanding from every player.
No goals from either team meant the game ended in a stalemate, but it was still a very entertaining match with plenty of attacking endeavour, not least from Summer and Grace who combined well and LaCie who shone down the right wing in the 2nd half.
⭐️ PotM: Natalie - showed so much confidence and strength in defence today, alert to every attack and did brilliantly at stalling opposition and making interceptions.

Good luck in the ESFA national final today to our U12 Dingo Bella and her team! ❤️🖤❤️

A midweek fixture for our U13s last night and their last league match of the season...

🔴 U13s had an evening match against a strong Tregorrick side who had very recently lifted the division's League Cup.
We looked very strong in the first 20 mins and dominated the game creating chances and winning every ball.
But much like last Sunday, we conceded first and lost a bit of composure, rushing the game and allowing opposition too many opportunities.
We dug in and whilst it may not have been pretty the goals finally came from a short barrage at their goal and overall it was a deserved 3-2 win which continued our unbeaten run from January and guarantees a best ever 2nd place in the league.
Safe to say we are incredibly proud how far this team has come this season as individuals and a team. Fully deserved.
💪 Supporters PotM: Finley for some of the best tackles and positional play he’s had all season and had the toughest job marking a very very good player.
👏 Opposition PotM: Cam for again being solid at the back and filled in a position as being such a versatile player.
👍 Coaches PotM: Henry again working his socks off all game even when he looked like he was flagging towards the end he found a second wind and pressured their defence like he had all game and lead from the front this evening.

Not many games to go now with several teams having completed their league matches this week...

🔴 U8s hosted a brilliant game of football against Indian Queens this morning.
Dobwalls controlled the lion’s share of the match but take nothing away from the visitors who created and took their chances well!
It was simply down to how well we passed the ball using the width well and stretching their defence who struggled to keep our attack contained.
It was brilliant to see the team using the things that we have been working on in training.
A few little lapses of concentration and positioning allowed the opposition to score some good goals.
Special mention for Talon’s absolute screamer that had everyone’s jaws on the floor.. quite possibly goal of the season!!
An all round great performance from everyone today
😎 Supporter's PotM: Talon

🔴 U12s rounded off their season with a midweek fixture against Goonhavern at home. A disappointing result but a decent performance against a very talented team, ending in a 7-1 defeat.
Generally we competed well and moved the ball alot better than in some of previous matches. But despite some heroics in goal from Connie and some robust defending from Paige and Monty we couldnt contain the opposition who raced away with the match in the 2nd half.
Tuckshop grabbing a consolation goal from the penalty spot was a pleasing small reward for the maximum effort put in by the whole team.
Lots to work on to prep for next season but we'll regroup, dust ourselves down and go again with renewed purpose!
👐 PotM: Connie - a string of top saves including an absolute worldie double block in the first half.

🔴 U13s played a tough game away against Holsworthy today.
We knew we had to come out fighting, try to dominate every area and not allow any gaps.
We did it very well and our continued pressure saw us score very early on and a tap in for Hen and a second from a great strike from Arthur and 20 mins in which we were the better side.
Unfortunately we conceded on the counter and then sat too deep with spaces centrally which allowed them to come at us again and again where they equalised bringing half time to a draw.
The second half saw both sides fight for every ball, and great contesting by both sides, some missed opportunities from us and great saves either end in the dying moments saw the spoils shared.
Very entertaining and nail biting stuff
👍 Opposition PotM: Arthur who drove a lot going forward and was a handful all game.
🫡 Coaches PotM: Noah... very composed on the ball and always looked to play the pass and get the ball moving.
👏 Supporters PotM: Bentley who came off his line very quick today and managed his area very well including 2 great saves in the second half keeping us in the game.
1 more to go at home and still unbeaten since Jan!
