What a fantastic Bank Holiday Sunday at Diss Waveney Petanque Club!

Today we played for the Ken Roberts Shield, with some great petanque, plenty of laughs and wonderful sunshine!

All our members contributed to a delicious shared picnic lunch, which was thoroughly enjoyed after the second game. There’s nothing quite like good food and good company after a few games of boules!

Congratulations to Les & Vic, who took the Shield with an impressive runaway score! What a performance!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a fun, friendly and memorable Bank Holiday Sunday. We really are building something special at Diss Waveney.

An occasional Boule Rule: at the start of a new end, if you cannot throw the coche 10 metres you are allowed to bring the circle back.
However, you are not permitted to bring it back if you already have 10 metres in front of you and you are not permitted to bring it back to give more than 10 metres in front of you.
