We might have had a little rain, but it certainly has its advantages.

The course is looking absolutely stunning. Fresh stripes on the fairways, beautifully check-cut approaches, and greens running smooth and true.

After a dry spell, a bit of rain can be just what the course needs, and it’s showing. The condition of the course right now is a credit to the greens team and makes for some fantastic golf.

What a time to be out on the course. ⛳️🌳☀️

Congratulations to Vice Captain Joe Greene on winning the 1st major of the year with an incredible score of 8 up! 👏🏆

Joe produced a brilliant finish, coming back in a gross 2 under par over the closing holes in an unbelievable run to secure the title. A fantastic performance under pressure and a well deserved victory in the season’s opening major.

Another fantastic turnout for our Ladies Beginners evenings at Disley Golf Club ⛳️

It’s been great to see so many new faces giving golf a try in such a relaxed and welcoming environment. From first swings to first solid shots, the improvement already has been brilliant to watch.

A huge well done to everyone who attended — lots of smiles, laughs and great progress throughout the session.

Whether you’re completely new to golf or just getting back into the game, these classes are all about learning in a fun, friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Slater & McGowan Seal Dominant Winter League Triumph

Gary Slater and Mike McGowan produced a superb performance throughout the winter season to secure the Winter League title in convincing fashion.

The pair dominated from the outset, winning the qualifying league before continuing their excellent form through the knockout stages. In the final, they overcame Angus Goodall and Brian Osborne to complete an impressive double and cap off a hugely consistent campaign.

Congratulations to Gary Slater and Mike McGowan on a thoroughly deserved Winter League victory after a dominant performance from start to finish.

A fantastic effort from our 2025 Captains 👏

It was a proud moment for Disley Golf Club to present a cheque for £5,601 to Kinder Mountain Rescue Team, the chosen 2025 Lady Captain and Captains’ Charity.

Under the guidance of Lady Captain Linda McCay and Captain Phil Clark, this fantastic total has been raised over the past 12 months thanks to the generosity and support of our members, families and friends.

We were delighted to support such an incredible organisation, whose dedication and commitment help keep people safe across the Peak District – including the mountain you can see from the club balcony.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed. Community spirit like this is what makes Disley Golf Club so special 🙌
