MACKAY CUP FINAL

Melvich FC 5 V Mallard FC 1

An incredibly dissapointing result at Couper Park, Helmsdale yesterday.

We were 3-1 down going into the break with a lovely goal from Sean Macallister.

However, in the 75th minute there was an incident involving one of our boys.

It is and always will be our first priority to ensure all of our boys come home safe after each game to their families.

It was decided between both management teams and the referee to call the game to an end at this time.

Special thanks must go to the First Aid team from Helmsdale Social Club for responding to our player so quickly.

Well done to Melvich FC.

Mallard FC make the trip to Couper Park on Saturday to face Melvich FC in the Mackay Cup Final.

MACKAY CUP SEMI FINAL

Lochinver 2 V Mallard Fc 3.

Lochinver went 2 nil up within the first 25 mins of the game.

Mallard kept the pace and fight up to see us into the break.

20 mins into the 2nd half, Mallard missed a penalty and began to donimate the game.

3 spectacular goals saw the Mallard take the lead.

Brilliant game from the lads....onto the FINAL

Fortrose & Rosemarkie Union FC 3 - Mallard Fc 4

Mallard travelled away to Fortrose for a much needed friendly with a strong side on a great summers evening looking to secure a win.

Our boys did not disappoint!

Great result for the boys, coming away with a hard fought 4-3 victory against a Fortrose side, which had a mix of youth and experienced players. Leading into the break at 2-1 and a penalty for Fortorse, only helped to make us work harder.

It was hard for both teams in such a heat 🥵 but both teams produced some neat football..

All the best to Fortrose for the rest of the season🤝

Mallard Fc welcomes North West Sutherland side, Golspie Stafford to Dingwall in this Prelim Round of the Highland Amateur Cup. This highly anticipated game looks set to be a good 90 minutes of football.

Mallard Fc officials attended today's Highland Amateur Cup draw today with us being drawn in the Prelim Round.

Looking forward to kicking our campaign off next Saturday, all match details to follow.

SATURDAY MATCH REPORT

Mallard Fc 1 - Lochbroom Fc 3

After getting our heads round Saturdays dissapointing 3-1 defeat to Lochbroom FC We have a match report ready.

Mallard Fc started the game really well passing the ball on the ground in very high winds against us, Lochbroom's first attack ended with a corner abd came a goal at the back post. Going into the break was all square 1-1……

The second half again Mallard Fc had all the possession but we could not find the back of the Lochbroom goal. Tired legs kicked in and to be fair to Ben Bruce’s side, they punished us for their 2nd goal and a bit of slack defending at the back gifted Lochbroom their 3rd and final goal.

All the best to for the season ahead to an experienced Lochbroom side.
