Silverback Kudo Dojo

Silverback Kudo Dojo Kudo also known as Daido Juku is a martial arts organization founded in 1981 by Azuma Takashi. Azuma Takashi is one of the first pioneers of MMA in Japan boxing.

Daido Juku, also known as Kudo(is a martial arts organization founded in 1981 by Azuma Takashi. Azuma, originally a Kyokushin karate 1977 full contact karate champion.
Kudo incorporates a lot of different martial arts including judo, karate. BJJ, Muay Thai. It is a full contact sport and is now available to learn and practise here in Liverpool. Class details will be posted on this page regularly.

This week we have Liyana as our fighter of the week.

Liyana has been training with us for around 5 weeks and has shown incredible improvements with her basics.

She is never put off by anything, she is constantly smiling and has quickly become a key part of the Junior Silverbacks group.

This week we see another fighter of the week award for George.

This is his second award since starting Kudo with us a few weeks ago.

Two weeks ago George was shown some drills that he can do at home to improve his kicking.

George yesterday displayed his new found kicking skills, George has clearly been working very hard in his own time and this is the type of attitude we want from every fighter at our dojo.

Well done George keep up the good work!

This week's fighter of the week is Carter.

Carter is a new addition to the junior silverbacks and in two weeks has overcome his fear and shyness and was exceptional this week.

Always asking questions and demonstrating excellent movements with a perfect Cartwheel and forward rolls.

Clinching in combat sports is a must.

Junior silverbacks have been learning the basic Muay Thai clinch this week.

Control in the clinch is key and the Juniors have a long way to come but what a great start.
