To start the game all players, Coaches and supporters held a one minute silence to pay their respects to Amelia Alpin. It was a touching moment and a great show of respect from everyone involved.
The greens put on a performance today with a goal disallowed and so many shots being saved! We ended the first half 1-1 and after a team talk at half time reminding them all of how good they are and keeping there spirits up! They went back out and really applied the pressure, talking, moving and working as a team, which resulted in the ball possession being spent mostly in the oppositions half!
Some really good corners taken, also counter attack runs and shots on target we was just unfortunate and denied by some good saves from the opposition keeper.
Our defence was strong and worked well together lots of talking and moving also passing the ball around, our keeper was again amazing, he played brilliantly talking to his defence, with a total of 16 saves and some one vs one with oncoming strikers!!
Overall everyone of players played so well and should all be proud of themselves!!
