To whoever has fly-tipped a sofa and multiple black bags of rubbish, please arrange for these items to be collected immediately.

We will be reviewing CCTV footage and, where appropriate, reporting this incident to the relevant authorities.

This is extremely disappointing and completely unacceptable. If the waste is not removed, we will have to spend money on its disposal which is money that could otherwise be invested back into benefiting the local Didcot community.

If you saw anything overnight please do get in touch.

🚨 We are appealing for witnesses following a criminal damage and theft incident in Didcot.

At around 7.30pm last Friday, a group of teenagers caused damage to a cricket pitch at Boundary Park on Greenwood Way, Great Western Park. The group pulled up and damaged a number of posts before stealing them, along with damaging the ropes surrounding the pitch. The pitch markings were also damaged.

A member of the public, a man in his forties, approached the group in an attempt to de-escalate the situation, but was subjected to verbal abuse.

The first offender is described as a white teenage boy, aged approximately 16-years old, around 5ft 7ins tall of skinny build with short brown hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a grey trim down the side, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

The second offender is described as a white teenage boy, aged approximately 16-years old, around 5ft 10ins tall of slim build with short brown hair and a fringe to his eyebrows. He was wearing a black t-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms, dark grey sliders and carried a black rucksack.

The third offender is described as a white teenage girl, aged approximately 16-years old, around 5ft 6ins tall of slim build with dark brown shoulder length hair. She was wearing a black t-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

The fourth offender is described as a white teenage girl, aged approximately 16-years old, around 5ft 6ins tall of slim build with dark brown hair. She was wearing a black t-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms.

📞 Anyone with any information, witnessed this incident, have dash-cam or CCTV footage is urged to get in touch online or by calling 101 quoting reference 43260437160.

Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

We’re extremely disappointed to report that youths have removed the fencing around our cricket square and caused damage to the wicket.

The cricket wicket takes around two days to carefully prepare for a game, with a huge amount of time and effort going into making sure it is safe and suitable for players. Unfortunately, some of the damage caused could potentially endanger players… remember we welcome all ages from small children to adults.

We understand that young people want somewhere to spend time and enjoy themselves especially during the summer holidays and Boundary Park is here for the whole community. However, damaging facilities that are provided for everyone to use simply isn’t acceptable.

These are local amenities, maintained for our community. When they are damaged, it costs time and money to repair them, takes facilities away from other users and puts unnecessary pressure on the groundsmen who work hard to keep Boundary Park looking its best.

We’re asking parents, guardians and local residents to please speak to young people about respecting the park, the facilities and the people who use them. It leaves us with no choice but to involve the local authorities.

If you witnessed anything or have information that may help us understand what happened, please get in touch with us directly.

Thank you to those who do respect the grounds. Boundary Park belongs to the community. Let’s look after it together.

Many thanks,

Boundary Park Team

We’re hoping to catch tonight’s eclipse from the Boundary Park terrace and with our wide western-facing views, we’re hoping for a great view!

Around 92% of the Sun will be covered here in Oxfordshire, peaking at 7:11pm before ending around 8:06pm.

We’re open from 7pm, so what better way to watch it than with a cold bev in your hand?

The next eclipse this deep over the UK won’t be until 2081!

Eclipse glasses are essential throughout — we won’t be providing them. Please never look directly at the Sun without proper eye protection.

Who’s joining us on the terrace tonight? 🌚🌝

Creds to AI for a glimpse of what tonight could look like from our terrace!
