Big well done to John Collins, who has been named Didcot Boxing Academy’s Boxer of the Weekend.

He had his first fight in Porto against a local opponent and went to war for all three rounds. After being fouled and suffering an eye injury, he shrugged it off and got straight back to work.

He lost a close 2–1 split decision, but many felt he did more than enough to get the win.
