What a weekend for Ollie! 🔥

On day one, Ollie secured a unanimous decision victory against a very good boxer from Rainham ABC, putting in a dominant performance and giving his opponent two standing counts. 👊

Then, in the final, Ollie stepped up again against another highly skilled opponent and secured a fantastic stoppage victory to be crowned BARUM BOX CUP 2026 CHAMPION! 🏆🥇

🥊 FANTASTIC TRACK DAY FOR THE CARDED BOXERS! 🥊

A massive session today for the team! 💪🔥

A few boxers were missing, but overall the effort from all 30+ carded boxers who attended was very good.

The boys completed 5K of sprint-based running, pushing themselves right to the limit and showing exactly what it takes to get fight-fit. 🏃‍♂️💨

There was plenty of sickness, dizziness and some very tired legs along the way 😅 — but that’s the nature of hard conditioning. The important thing is that everyone got through the session and completed the work.

No shortcuts. No excuses. Just hard work. 🥊

Back in the gym Monday — we keep building.

✍️ NEW SIGNING 🥊

We’re delighted to welcome Alex Williams to Didcot Boxing Academy.

Alex is an elite amateur who joins our team after previously boxing under Faz with the Alliance association before moving to Oxford ABC, where he was coached by our good friends Dennis, Yasir and Dave Mace.

During his time there, Alex reached the ABA Elite National Finals, narrowly missing out on the title after losing to an opponent he had previously beaten. That experience has only fuelled his determination to come back stronger.

After several in-depth conversations, Head Coach Kieran and Alex have put a clear plan in place. The goal is simple: win the Elite National Championships and then make the move into the professional ranks.

As part of Alex’s development, Didcot Boxing Academy will also be working alongside Joyce Talks Boxing to arrange elite-level sparring opportunities, ensuring he is tested against top opposition and continues progressing in the right direction.

We’re excited to be part of Alex’s journey and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
