Didcot Touch Rugby

Hi all, as a result of a change in circumstances I am unable to attend now regularly enough to keep the touch section going. I have asked around the club but sadly no one has come forward to take the section on. It's a real shame, but this is how it goes sometimes. I hope that those who I had the chance to play touch rugby with over the last year enjoyed the sessions and I wish you all the best moving forward. Tonight was our last session. If it weren't for the rain the pitch would be so inviting! I'm all weather's we'll try and get the Game On! Hoping we get a few hardy latecomers to get to good size teams!

What even is touch rugby?

It's a dynamic game, developed from Rugby but with minimal contact. A player is 'tackled' when an opposition player taps their body above the waist with one hand. A team is allowed to be touch tackled 5 times, on the 6th the ball goes to the opposition.

It's a great cardio workout and you'll get to meet our friendly bunch of players
