Didcot Town made it five wins from five in the Southern League this season with a second-half comeback at home to Hertford Town on Saturday.
​Second-half goals from JP Nyuysemo and Owen James ensured the Railwaymen secured another three points against a strong Hertford side.
​The visitors were the stronger side in the first half, with Didcot looking off the pace and struggling to find the rhythm that had seen them win their four previous games. Hertford went ahead just after the half-hour mark when Patrick Matejko found the bottom corner from the edge of the area. The goal did bring Didcot to life, and both Connor Barrett and Sam Bailey saw efforts go wide before the break.
​Didcot came out much stronger after the restart, though only two good blocks denied Barrett and Nyuysemo early in the second half. Cam McNeill, making his 300th appearance for Didcot, was then denied by a goal-line block.
​Nyuysemo eventually equalised for Didcot on the hour mark. The midfielder was quickest to react when Barrett’s free kick was parried by Josh Bowler in the Hertford goal.
​Leigh Bedwell was having a solid afternoon in the Didcot goal, and only a sharp save denied Lawrence Ajong from restoring the lead for the visitors soon after the equaliser.
​James scored the winner with just under 20 minutes remaining. The striker netted his tenth league goal of the season with a speculative scissor kick after Reuben Harry had seen his shot blocked.
​Nyuysemo thought he had wrapped the game up in the closing moments when he fired home at the second attempt, but the midfielder was adjudged to have handled the ball.
​It was another impressive win for Didcot, who continue to set the pace at the top of the Southern League Division One Central. The games keep coming thick and fast, with Flackwell Heath visiting the Loop Meadow Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The midfielder led the revival in the second half with an all-action display. He scored one and was only denied a second by what looked like a harsh handball decision.
