Jumping on the trend. Smashing a few personal trainer myths along the way.

I'm pro . Many of my clients use it and are thriving. I support them with an appropriate exercise and nutrition plan. Both have been scientifically researched.

"Proper Form" isn't an insurance policy that will protect you from injury or strain. I design bespoke exercises which build confidence in how to move and how to load. Movement is unique to every client.

Most of my clients don't join a gym because they don't have time or the inclination for a public workout space. They work with me online or through recorded workouts. A pair of dumbbells is all we need.

I hear this from every new client. Women are struggling with weight gain despite eating well, feeling weak even when undertaking exercise regularly and it's frustrating.

I'm Jasmine, a personal biomechanics trainer in Didcot. I have my own workout studio and offer online sessions too.

I create bespoke workouts that start where you are, no weights, no floor exercises and no jumping. You don't have to have any fitness to start. Health conditions and injuries are also considered.

I can also, if wanted, analyse eating patterns, offering specific ideas for improvement.

I focus on long term sustainable results, you get stronger and eat better for your health.

Clients stay with me for years, seeing massive improvement in health and fitness. Taking up long forgotten hobbies or just enjoying feeling fitter in everyday life.

This week I've been sharing videos for simple, short and effective exercises at home.

We've been walking without walking, full body exercise treats, reaching for far far away things and improving coordination.

The question I get asked a lot is whether there are benefits from doing short workouts (even just one minute). The answer is that there is loads of research out there that shows an increase in fitness (strength and cardio) with short workouts.

What does that mean for us who are trapped behind desks or in cars for long commutes? We can keep our fitness up without having to find the energy and time to do or go out for a workout.

I love writing client programmes which are full of short, effective and fun exercises to do together or in little bursts.

For a lot of women, fitness has been sold as a never ending renovation job.

Flatten this. Tighten that. Shrink here. Lift there.
As if we’re all just wrong by default standards set by people.
People who don't live our lives.

But your body isn’t a DIY project with a deadline. It’s a home.
And like any good home, it deserves care, maintenance, and kindness, not constant criticism and punishment.

What if your goal wasn’t to fix your body,
What about wanting to live in it comfortably?

To feel stronger picking up your heavy things.
To walk without your back screaming.
To sleep better.

Movement can give you that. Not to change who you are,
but to support who you already are.

If you’ve been treating your body like it’s broken…
