Hi All,

I’m sure a lot of you have heard, but I just wanted to confirm officially, that Dewsbury Dance Centre closed its doors permanently 3rd December.

I’ve had an incredible time running the school along with Miss Mary for the last 20 years, but now it’s time for some new adventures for both of us.

I will miss the students terribly, as I always loved teaching, but with other professional opportunities on the horizon, I decided I wouldn’t be able to give the kids the time, energy and enthusiasm they deserve.

Of course, I couldn’t have done any of it without My lovely mum Miss Mary, and I am eternally grateful for all her support.

I am grateful to be able to leave with some beautiful memories and I wish all my students, past and present, all the very best for the future.

So happy to announce that both these beautiful girls have been nominated for IDTA National Theatre Awards in Theatre Craft. Between them they have now been nominated for all 4 core subjects, Anna for Ballet, Jazz and Theatre and Mischa for Tap and Theatre. I simply could not be prouder. More than a decade hard work paying off ❤️

So proud of our competition team this weekend! Every single one tried their very best and danced their hearts out. We were sad to have team members missing though illness, but I can’t believe what a good job everyone did of reblocking on short notice ❤️❤️❤️

Due to the competition team performing at a festival in Leeds this weekend, Saturday 14th October class times will be as follows:

9:10am Ballet Babies
9:45-10:45am Prep and Primary Ballet & Tap
10:45-11:45am Grade 1, 2 & 3 Ballet
11:45-12:15pm Grade 1, 2 & 3 Tap
12:15-1pm Musical Theatre

Classes will be back to normal 21st October.

A little late with this announcement, but delighted to say DDC student Mischa and the rest of the GB formation team have won gold at the World Tap Championship in Germany!!!! Woo hoo! Super proud x
