1 year of consistency and Kat has dropped 10.1kg of body fat πŸ‘πŸ» This brings her down to 18.8% body fat, from 32.1% a year ago. All of this while gaining muscle, improving her fitness and increasing her strength πŸ’ͺ🏻 The most remarkable thing about this transformation is that Kat has done all of this with just 1 session a week in the gym, alongside improving her nutrition and dietary habits. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ’ͺ🏻 Proof you don't need to live in the gym to improve your fitness.

Beginning of the year condition check.

Although I'm not a huge fan of New Year's resolutions (as statistically less than 10% are actually stuck to and achieved), I do think setting some goals for the year is a great way to stay disciplined and motivated.

Some of my goals for the year:
🦡Add some size on to my legs (I've been struggling with back & knee issues the last few years, but finally think I'm out of the woods, so I can push my legs harder)
πŸ‹οΈ Beat my bench PB (currently 145kg)
πŸ₯΅ Increase my weekly sauna time (minimum 3 x 30 min sessions per week)
🍽️ Monthly 24 hour fast (I used to fast regularly, but I've been slacking since starting the last bulk)

What goals have you set yourself for 2026?
Would you like some help making those goals a reality this year? If so get in touch, I'd love to help! πŸ“ž

Most of my clients are aware of the importance of getting blood-work done and are probably tired of me going on about it, but it's something I believe is extremely important and is something I do often.

Getting regular blood tests is one of the most effective ways to optimise health and fitness, as they provide a detailed picture of what’s happening inside the body beyond what you can see or feel.

By measuring key markers such as hormones, nutrient levels, cholesterol, inflammation, and organ function, blood tests reveal imbalances that may be holding back energy levels, recovery, or physical performance. Early detection of deficienciesβ€”such as low iron, vitamin D, or testosteroneβ€”allows for targeted interventions through diet, supplements, or lifestyle changes.

For those focused on fitness, tracking these markers over time helps fine-tune training and nutrition strategies to improve strength, endurance and overall wellbeing. Regular blood testing transforms guesswork into data-driven action for achieving peak health and performance.

Final few weeks of bulking and the cut officially begins! πŸ·βœ‚οΈ I'm looking forward to it, but I won't pretend that it's not going to be a hell of a shock to the system. My daily calorie intake has been around 5500 - 6000 and has been very carb heavy this year, so I'm certainly going to feel it when the diet changes and the carbs drop! I've kept up with regular cardio & saunas throughout the bulk to prevent excessive fat gain to make my cut easier which I will be extremely grateful to myself for next month. My goal was to lean bulk without going over 10% body fat. (Full disclosure I'm currently 10.2% @ 93.3kg). I can't wait to see how much more I can squeeze out of the last few weeks of my bulk, then how far I can push the cut for summer β˜€οΈπŸ₯³ I wish you all the best of luck achieving your goals this summer, and please know that my door is always open if you're after some guidance or advice πŸ™πŸΌ much love to all of my clients, as it's you guys that allow me to focus so much on what I love. You keep me motivated just as much as I motivate you!
