Another disappointing result and performance for Churchill today. Leaving ourselves 4–1 down at half time gave us a mountain to climb, with too many mistakes once again costing us goals and putting us on the back foot.

Similar issues continue to arise, and we need to address them quickly.

Credit to Don Boscos, who deserved the victory and took their chances— particularly their second goal.

We have to regroup quickly and go again next Saturday when we travel to Donemana.

A closely contested game at Wilton Park, with very little separating the two sides throughout.

Unfortunately, a number of mistakes from Churchill were punished by Oxford and ultimately proved costly, despite a strong effort from the team.

Credit to Oxford Utd Stars, who continued to compete right until the final whistle and came away with all three points.

We now turn our attention to our next league fixture and look to bounce back immediately.

League action returns tomorrow night at Wilton Park as Churchill United begin life in NWJL Division 1.

After winning the league and securing promotion last season, the boys will be looking to build on that success and carry the momentum into what promises to be a very competitive Division 1.

Up first, we welcome a talented Oxford United Stars side in what should be a great game between two good teams. 👊⚽

Tonight the holders Institute U20s are out to retain their trophy as they face BBOB in the final of the Bert Simpson Memorial Cup at Wilton Park.

🏆 BERT SIMPSON MEMORIAL CUP – MATCH RESULT

Churchill Utd 4-4 BBOB

A highly entertaining eight-goal thriller at Wilton Park saw Churchill Utd and BBOB play out a 4-4 draw.

Both sides held the lead at different stages of the game, but neither could find the winning goal as the points were shared.

The draw is enough to see BBOB secure their place in Friday night’s final, where they will face the holders, Institute U20s. 🏆

Institute U20s 2-2 Foyle Wanderers

Institute U20s faced Foyle Wanderers knowing that a positive result would see them secure their place in the final.

A good game between both sides finished 2-2, with the point enough to see the holders book their place in the Bert Simpson Memorial Cup Final. 🏆

Institute will now face one of the three Group B teams in the final.

The Group B winner will be decided tomorrow night as BBOB face Churchill Utd, with everything still to play for.

🏆 BERT SIMPSON MEMORIAL CUP – MATCH RESULT

BBOB 3-2 Enagh Rovers

BBOB secured a hard-fought victory tonight with a 3-2 win over Enagh Rovers.

The result means we head into the final Group B game with all three teams still having a chance of progressing to the final. It all comes down to Tuesday night when BBOB face Churchill United.

Next up on Monday evening, Institute U20s face Foyle Wanderers, with the holders looking to secure their place in the final and take another step towards retaining the Bert Simpson Memorial Cup. 🏆

Lisahally 3–1 Foyle Wanderers

Lisahally came up against NWJL Division 1 Champions Foyle Wanderers and came away with a good, solid 3–1 victory for the men from Strathfoyle. 👏⚽️

The tournament continues tonight as Enagh Rovers face BBOB.

A victory for Enagh Rovers would see them secure their place in the final on 14th August. 🏆
