St.Columb's Park Judo Club

St.Columb's Park Judo Club Affliated with the Northwest Judo Academy, St. Columb's Park Judo Club has trained hundreds of kids & teens in the fun & challenging sport of judo!

Saint Columb’s Park Judo Club has achieved clubmark status and is open to all ages (5 years+). We also cater for all abilities, special needs and disability players. We are affiiated to the Northern ireland Judo Federation and the British Judo Association. All coaches are qualified to UK CC Level 1, Level 2 & Level 3 standard and have been trained in Child Protection & First Aid. Our sessions run

on Friday nights in the main hall from 6.30 - 8pm and cost £5 per child, per session. (A special rate of £10 applies if a parent is paying for three or more children from the same family)

On Thursday nights we also have a session at the Foyle Arena which is open to anyone from all clubs affiliated with the Northwest Judo Academy. This session is more focused towards adults and isn't suitable our young members. This is in the main hall and runs from 7pm - 8.30pm, costing £5 per session.

Sofia and Brandon, along with coach and Dad Garfield from Kyokan Judo recently competed in the Latvian based Kyodai tournament!

They excelled themselves🥋

2 Bronze medals in massive pools, a 5th place for Sofia in the under 16’s and a fantastic training camp experience with hours of Randori and learning!

Garfield also shared a few ideas, inspired by the event to make our competitions more of an experience for everyone.

Well done to everyone involved, congratulations on the results and the experience.

Brandon and Sofia are also part of our Pathway Squad and we’re looking forward to hearing all about it soon from them too!

Hi everyone,

We'd love to welcome everyone back on the mats tonight but we think it's best that everyone stays home and more importantly, stays safe!

The roads are still quite icy this morning and the last thing we want is someone falling or having car difficulties.
