Oh no!!! It’s been a while since we announced the next in our amazing line up of Camp Staff!!

Let me introduced Shira Lewis!!!!

Dr. Shira Lewis, PT, DPT is a highly accomplished gymnastics physical therapist, coach, clinician, and choreographer with over 30 years of experience in the gymnastics world. She is widely recognised for her athlete-centered, science-based approach to making gymnastics coaching sustainable, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate across all skill levels.

Prior to her clinical career, she was a competitive gymnast and dancer, and later competed as a Division I collegiate diver.

She specialises in creating safe, developmental movement pathways for early childhood, recreational, and competitive athletes. This includes expertise in primitive reflex integration and adapting skills to accommodate neurodivergent or special needs athletes.

Given her clinical background, she frequently educates the gymnastics community on how to properly manage hypermobile athletes, safely increase flexibility without causing pain, and modify exercises to prevent long-term injury.
