Jessica - the supermammy who could have a million valid reasons not to, continues to blow me away and show up anyway.

She’s lost 31lb, that’s cool. But it’s what she’s built along the way that’s more impressive, all while managing being an AMAZING mum of 2, and managing caring and advocating for Zara.

I’ve seen Jessica squeeze in a gym visit when her and her partner swap over in hospital stays, I’ve seen her be in the gym at 4am before travelling to Belfast for a day of appointments, I’ve seen her during stressful and uncertain periods where she could have sacked it off, go out and complete runs in terrible weather.

That’s a few examples - there’s plenty more.

She has went from dipping her toe into the gym, to building a confidence she never imagine.

Went from never running, to completing a 10 miler, half marathon and has just today signed up to something even bigger (not my news to announce).

I think you can tell, she inspires me, I’m actually getting my goosebumps writing this.

If Jessica can, I really believe there’s little excuses for the rest of us tbh.

Big love Jess 💛

First week of January ticked off!!!! jk I know it’s Sept, but it gives January feels!??!

Summer ending, and I’ve no kids (can only imagine how the parents feel), August was just a bussyyy month, and the routine and structure again is warmly welcomed!!

A big week coming off the client event, getting some of the girls set up for their half marathon week, welcoming Michelle to the team, and probably wrote more programmes last week than I had the whole month (just all fell at the one time - a task I love doing while bopping to some music).

I don’t know why, but last week give me this sense of contentment and excitement with coaching again, not that I lost it, but I hadn’t felt it to that extent in a long time if I’m honest, maybe the event, maybe the girls wins, maybe things settling after summer, maybe the way I’ve built the process for me and clients I imagine a mix of all - but I’ve had the thought so many times about how good things are with it right now - I don’t take that for granted.

A calm week other than the above, training, eating good food as always hehe, coaching, building out the client experience, and some friends and family time sprinkled in, something I’m trying to do more of 💛

If the first week of Sept didn’t go to plan, let’s make sure we rewrite that this week!

See the back end of the year out in a way you’ll be happy with.

VIP client alert 🥹

While while proud of my wee mammy, taking the leap, doing the thing I’ve been trying to get her to do for years, she did it today, despite it being massively outside her comfort zone.

My biggest wish in this life is for her to be healthy, happy and independent for many many many more years, she just increased the likelihood of that - thank you mammy 💛

You don’t have to wait until you feel confident to start.

Sometimes you have to do the thing that feels awkward to build the confidence.

Our Kathleen did it, why can’t you?

Beyond proud of my girls today 🥹 - incase my whoop picking me up as dancing doesn’t show how lured I was to be their biggest cheerleader.

This is a lot more than them crossing that finish line - more on that to come.

Let’s just say the version of them this time last year would be amazed at what they did today, the barriers overcame and the many form of progress they seen along the way.

Jessica Deeney ✨ , Laura , De Nais Cara & yous inspire me more than you know, and I couldn’t be anymore grateful to be in your corners.

Well done to everyone involved- what an amazing achievement.

Backing the future version of yourself means a lot of the time, doing the thing the current version of you would rather not.

Going to the gym when you couldn’t be bothered.
Having the conversation you’ve been avoiding.
Starting before you feel confident.
Doing something you’re scared to be bad at.
Making food when ordering is easier.

I could go on and on…

But there can’t be a disconnect between what you say you want and what you repeatedly choose to do, or not do.

The sooner you realise your choices are either moving you closer to or further from the outcome you want or how you want to feel, the sooner things start to change.

Do it for the version of you that’s counting on you, cause they really hope you do.

This is a special one 🥹

Orla could have had every valid reason not to…

Recovering from a stroke.
Training having to look different for her.
Navigating huge changes in her personal life.
Working as an ICU nurse and transitions in her role after recovery.
Being a mum and granny.
A busy social calendar.

There were plenty of reasons Orla could have decided now wasn’t the time to prioritise herself, but she hasn’t one used any of those things as an excuse ever.

Because of that’s she’s lost 10lb.
Is building strength in the gym, with training adapted specifically to ensure she’s comfortable, learning how to fuel her body, and her clothes fitting now that previously didn’t.

But most importantly, growing in and gaining back her confidence.

All alongside weddings, social events, holidays, trips and everything else that comes with actually living, proving both can coexist.

I’m happy to say, she has many more trips booked and more plans in the diary, and it’s no stress because she’s built a routine and habits that last even when life’s busy.

Orla also soon be moving away from a fatloss phase, moving to putting more energy in her body for more strength 🙌🏽

Orla inspires me and the other girls in the community, more than she knows 💛

End of summer client event 💛

This morning involved a training workshop, figuring out our ‘why’ and going deeper than just the physical goal and finishing off with bonding over some good food 🤌🏽 shout out Eimear Clarke for a gorgeous home baked banana bread 👏🏽.

Genuinely can’t put into words how I feel coming away from these events. It’s one thing getting the girls together, but for me it’s seeing people who have never met in person connect, share, inspire and literally cheer each other on. That’s what this community is about 🥹

It still continues to blow me away 🤯

Days like today are a reminder for me of what’s really being built here and what the girls are truly getting out of this process and that goes beyond physical.

Each of the girls there and not, inspire me more than they’ll ever know and I only come away with a fire in my belly to continue to bring them the best possible experience and outcome that I can.

More to come on the event and a huge shout out to the girls for making today what it was ❤️

I could continue to write all day but I’m going to go and soak up the post event high.

Grateful beyond words.

At what point were we all brainwashed into thinking food that tastes good must be bad for us?

You don’t need to eat like a bodybuilder on prep to lose fat.

Of course the quality of your diet matters, protein, carbs, fats, fibre and micronutrients all matter.

But nutritious food can still taste bloody good, and food eaten purely for enjoyment has a place too.

Because when you’re building a lifestyle, structure, habits and a way of living that lasts, that’s going to include the living part. Meals out. Birthdays. Holidays. Food you didn’t cook or track.

What you eat occasionally won’t determine your progress. What you do consistently will.

Sometimes it’s the idea of what fat loss should look like that keeps you stuck in the vicious circles in first place, I know it kept me stuck for years.

Normalising gym anxiety, in fact any new environment / experience anixety🤷🏽‍♀️ we all get in own head about things.. it’s only human.

Confidence doesn’t always come before doing the thing.

Sometimes you do it nervous because you know it’s worth it, play the exposure game, and the confidence comes after 🤝

Your wee push to do the thing you’ve been talking yourself out of 🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️
