FULL TIME | PBS 4-2 Swaffham Town ⚽💙

A really impressive performance from our U16s last night as they picked up their first Thurlow Nunn Youth League win.

The boys played some excellent football, controlling the game for large periods and showing real quality, composure and togetherness throughout.

⚽️ MATCH NIGHT | PBS U16s 🟡🔵

Another big challenge under the lights tonight as our PBS U16s continue their campaign in the Thurlow Nunn U18s North Division.

Tonight we welcome Swaffham Town U18s to Youngs Park, with our boys once again stepping up to test themselves against players up to two years older.

This is exactly why we entered this group into U18 football — to challenge them, accelerate their development and give them experiences that will prepare them for the next stage of their football journey.

Both goals coming from Haiden Barnes, who has found the net in both of our opening games.

What a performance from our U16s against a top Dereham side.

The boys gave absolutely everything from the first minute to the last and pushed a very strong team right until the final whistle.

🔥 GAME NIGHT. AND WHAT A TEST THIS IS. 🔥

Tonight our PBS U16s make the trip to Aldiss Park to take on Dereham Town U18s in the Thurlow Nunn Youth Division North. ⚽️

This is exactly why we created this pathway.

Our players step up from youth football and, at just 16 years old, test themselves in a competitive U18 midweek environment against players potentially two years older.

No hiding. No shortcuts. Just opportunities to compete, learn, develop and grow. 💪

🟡⚫ PBS U15s WANT YOU! ⚫🟡

We’re looking to add current U15 players to our Personal Best Soccer squad for the 2026/27 season.

Our U15s compete in the Junior Premier League, giving players the opportunity to test themselves against quality opposition while continuing to represent and enjoy football with their Sunday grassroots teams.

At PBS, we support grassroots football. We want players playing, developing and enjoying the game — not being told they have to choose.

This is also an important year in our player pathway.

U15 is our final season in the JPL.
The following season, the squad progresses together as U16s into the Thurlow Nunn U18 midweek programme, providing the next challenge and a pathway into older age-group football.

FULL TIME | PBS 1-6 CSF Canaries ⚽

A tough scoreline, but plenty of positives to take from our opening Thurlow Nunn Youth League fixture.

The game was a really even contest for large parts, with both sides competing well and PBS showing plenty of quality and determination. It wasn’t until midway through the second half that CSF began to take control, before a late flurry of goals saw them secure a deserved victory.

Credit to CSF Canaries, who took their chances when it mattered. We wish them all the very best for the rest of the season.

For our U16s, it’s about taking the positives, learning from the experience and continuing to improve as we embark on a new challenge in the Thurlow Nunn Youth League.
