The proof is in the pudding!!

So pleased to see two anglers I have recently given coaching too have not only broke their personal highest weights today but finished 1st and 2nd in the match as well.

That’s a massive improvement on their angling from 3 weeks ago seeing their weights increase week on week especially Jake breaking his pb in the last two matches alone.

It goes to show none of us anglers know all of it so a bit of help can make a massive difference especially when you put the time week in week out to go fishing.

Well done guys great performance

Well what a way to spend your day off on a Monday than fishing with a hottie on a lake in ya back garden!

That’s what me and Lisa did today on Birch pool. It’s another day teaching her a bit about carp fishing using a particular method which is dropping in your rig via a floating baiting pole filled with pellets and a solid bag over the top with a 16mm krill boilie topped with a pink dumbbell cut in half.

Lisa smashed her pb today with a 20lb 10oz mirror and she did all the work her self from start to finish with zero help from me. Unfortunately she managed to beat me today as I had 1 and lost it so I’ll be taking lessons from her soon! 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

To top it all off Lisa cooked me an amazing meal by the peg , I may not of caught but I definitely had a mega day chilling with my babe!

BIRCH POOL BANGER!

Well what a great 24 hour session for Ronnie Oliver !

He’s come to Birch pool for his first visit. His first fish went 20lb 6oz then a few hours later he’s broken his PB by catching a fish we call Big ears at 31lb.
This fish is right up there with the top stunners of the lake.
Ronnie also had one of EBL breakfasts delivered to his peg top top his day off sweet!

Hi all it’s approaching the 20th of June which is the date of Aaron’s Ayers memorial trophy match.

This match will be an annual event in Aaron’s memory a celebration of his life to all those that were so fond of him.

On the morning We will be revealing a new bench in Aarons honour which will sit behind peg 20 on bridges lake. This is where the draw will take place not at the cafe unless it’s raining.

The match will be across carvers and bridges lake.
Draw 8.30 fish 10-4
Cafe will be open from 7.15

We will be running a bbq after the match and would be delighted if you hang around and shared your memories of Aaron with his friends and family so and if you would like to order the bbq please book in with us.

Anglers have been very generous in donating prizes for our raffle along with Aaron’s family and we have some fantastic prizes on offer.

All monies raised from this event will go towards buying a defibrillator for the venue.
