ROUND 8 REPORT: Donnington Park was a bit strange in terms of conditions but in the end we again made progress and with a good result.

Jack must have had a good sleep into Saturday because he was fast right away during qualifying. He set a good lap in the first few minutes of the session. Later he managed to improve once again putting him 34th on the grid. Wes took his time and improved gradually. Unfortunately while he was a few tenths down he crashed in the last corner. No big damages, rider okay, just a small dent in confidence. He qualified 36th.

On the raceday the weather gods were playing with us. The initial race started without any sign of rain. After a red flag the race got restarted as a WET RACE but everyone was still on dry tyres. During warmup heavy rain came down and 35/40 riders entered the pit. While changing wheels in a hurry the race got postponed to the end of the day.

Both Jack and Wes had a very good start. Jack took off and got himself in a fast pack of riders. Wes was a bit to careful on the first laps which put him a group behind. He couldn’t get the pace and result he had hoped for and was therefore not happy with how the race went for him. Still he finished P29. Jack however did an outstanding job fighting with several riders for a Top 20 spot. Eventually he got himself the 22th position what makes it a great result for the 19-year-old.

Again we had another good weekend as a team. Wes didn’t get the result he wanted but he did improve compared to last time here at Donington. Jack definitely got a great weekend with a well deserved result. 💪

ROUND 7 REPORT: It was a sunny weekend in Cadwell Park with a high spectator attendance. For the boys a mixed weekend;

Qualifying on Saturday was a good one for both Jack and Wes. Where Jack had a great laptime from the start Wes took his time to eventually put a good lap down. Wes got himself the 30th position on the grid followed by his teammate Jack. It shows once again how close both riders are to each other making it great for learning and teamwork.

On Sunday both riders had a good start but both got a bit unlucky in the first lap on this narrow track. Wes managed to get his lost position back and was starting to close the gap to the riders in front. Unfortunately he couldn’t make the overtake but he rode an impressive first race at this track finishing P24. Jack however struggled throughout the race and eventually it turned out to be a gearbox issue which forced him to DNF.

Wes improved every lap while still learning the track and Jack improved significantly compared to last year. Both riders are still making steps in the right decision.

That’s Round 6 of the Pirelli National Sportbike championship in Thruxton done. It was a fun and sunny weekend with good results from both riders.

In race 1 Jack and Wes had to fight for their positions for the whole race. With 4 other riders the order was constantly changing. Jack finished 4th of their group and 27th overall followed by Wes directly behind him.

In race 2 Wes again landed in a nice battle that lasted the whole race. After leading the group for several laps he got overtaken in the last lap but still finished 27th overall. Jack had an amazing start and detached himself from the guys behind. Without slipstream, riding all alone, Jack impressively managed to set his fastest lap of the weekend while finishing on P25.

The team is happy with the results and enjoyed the weekend. We’re still making steps in the right direction. 6 rounds done, 4 to go, coming next; Cadwell Park!⛰️
