Derbyshire Cricket Foundation is the 'governing body' for all aspects of recreational cricket in Derbyshire. We are a not-for-profit, charity limited by guarantee and our remit covers:
•Running the player pathway that develops talented players and run the county teams for girls aged U10-U17 and Women's 1st XI
• Supporting the 127 cricket clubs in the county with advice on coaching, funding and running their clubs
•Training and resources for coaches, umpires, scorers and grounds staff
•Working with over 120 schools providing free cricket coaching to both primary and secondary children
•Running affordable, high quality cricket courses in school holidays for children typically aged 8-14 to develop their interest and skills in the game
•Encouraging adult participation through Last Man Stands (2 hour, after work games) and into clubs.

We were joined by 4 teams from around the Midlands for a lovely day of softball matches.

Our 1-1 programme runs on Saturday mornings during winter, with weekly sessions from October through April.

1-1 coaching gives you 100% attention from our experienced coaches who focus on particular elements of your game, such as:
👉Batting
👉Spin and Pace bowling
👉Wicketkeeping

Our Girls Dynamos Festival at Derbyshire CCC was everything we hoped it would be and more! 💖

🏏 25 teams
🙌 150+ players
✨ Plenty of glitter
😁 Hundreds of smiles
😂 Lots and lots of laughter
💥 And some brilliant cricket!

It was fantastic to see so many girls out on the field having fun, making friends, supporting their teammates and enjoying the game. 🌟

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the day such a success — the players, coaches, volunteers, clubs and families cheering from the sidelines. 👏

The DCF are saddened to learn of the passing of Terry Dorr.

Terry was an influential and knowledgeable figure within Derbyshire cricket who had a long-standing involvement at Ambergate Cricket Club.

Terry was a well-respected umpire within Derbyshire with nearly 50 years' experience, which included serving as chair of the ACO for 8 years. He held a passion for bringing new officials to the game

We send our condolences to Terry's family and friends.
