Breeze Derby were out and about on Tuesday on the Amber Valley Duck Trail - Heanor this time. A varied ride of 30 miles took us through Shipley Park and along the Erewash Canal for a change. A decent day weatherwise made for an enjoyable ride.

Breeze Derby have been out and about again today (back to our regular Tuesday slot). We rode out to Denby Pottery via Denby and Waingroves checking in on two of the Amber Valley Ducks in Ripley. It was a blustery ride back into Derby, after refuelling, battling a head wind most of the way but it was dry and we survived. Watch out for more Ducks.

Breeze ladies in the local newspaper!! Bottom right picture. We all wore red to stand out for Red Nose Day.

Another great ride yesterday. Our regular Tuesday ride, but on a Monday, managed to coincide with Greg James 'Longest Ride (for Comic Relief)'. We waited roadside in Repton, and managed not only to get a wave and salute from the man himself but, also made it onto the BBC Instagram post. Result!

After the rain of the past few days it was good to get out in the sunshine today on our ride out from Darley Park to Long Eaton. We probably lingered a tad longer than we should have at The Farm Coffee Shop (opposite the station for those who have never been). As usual we were fully booked up with 12 riders - thanks to all for coming out. See you next week with a ride out to Hudson's Plant Centre in Duffield (via the lumpy lanes).

Our weekly Tuesday outings continued yesterday with an urban ride checking out the suggestion on the back of 'Tour of Britain' leaflet picked up at the start last Friday. An interesting route,, we were familiar with most of it just had never ridden in the suggested order (there is a reason for this - the disjointed cycle ways around Infinity Way / Rolls Royce / Merrill Way makes for difficult riding in a group - we are all experienced cyclists, I wouldn't want to take a group of beginners this way). Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side and most of us got a soaking on the way home.
