Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is 20 metres long and 8 metres wide, with a depth of 0.8m at the shallowest point to 1.8m in the deep end. In addition to serving the needs of Allestree Woodlands School during term-time, the pool also provides a range of swimming and water-based activities to the local community, particularly for babies, children, young people and senior citizens. To keep our pool
as clean as possible, all swimmers are asked to wear swimming hats. Courts, Pitches and Areas
Our 4 court Sports Hall and Gymnasium can accommodate a whole range of activities, including Badminton, Basketball, Netball, Short Tennis, Volleyball, Dodgeball, Futsal, Table Tennis, Gymnastics, Archery and Trampolining. We have 2 different floodlit court areas at Woodlands, catering for variety of different sports and abilities, including Football, Hockey, Tennis and Netball, either for squad training or league matches to a kick about session with colleagues/friends. Grass pitches are maintained to a high standard and can be booked for training or matches, markings range from 12-a-side to 9-a-side sizes football and Rugby.
