DERBY TRAILBLAZERS REPPING AT THE HOOPSFIX PRO-AM 💙🏀

The Hoopsfix Pro-Am is officially underway, and we’ve got a massive Trailblazers presence down there holding it down for the 'Hometown Heroes'!

A huge shoutout to our guys who are hitting the court and putting in the work:

IT’S SO NICE, WE’RE DOING IT TWICE! 👀✌🏻

Derby Trailblazers are back with our second annual club fundraiser!

The Clarence Wiggins Basketball Marathon returns on Sunday 5th July at Broomfield Hall, and we are aiming BIGGER and BETTER this year.

We are packing the day from 9am right through to 6pm with coaching sessions for all ages, culminating in an epic All-Star game from 6pm till 7pm.

Whether you are hitting the court or cheering from the sidelines, there is plenty happening all day to support the club.

Grab some refreshments, stock up on the latest Trailblazers merchandise, try your luck at the tombola, or take aim with 'chuck a duck'.

Keep your eyes peeled too, as we have some special guest appearances lined up.

Bring the family, support your club, and let’s make this fundraiser another massive success. See you there, Blazers!

Academy Head Coach & Assistant Coach (Men’s BCB Programme) 🏀

Derby Trailblazers are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and organised coach to lead our Academy programme and support our Senior Men’s team. If you are passionate about player development and building a high-performance culture, we want to hear from you!

Key Details -

The Role:

Lead Academy teams (EABL, AoC, CVL), manage the DiSE programme, and act as Assistant Coach for the Senior Men’s BCB programme.

Location:

Derby and surrounding areas.

Salary:

Competitive (dependent on experience).

Hours:

Includes evening and weekend work, plus occasional travel.

What We’re Looking For:

Level 3 Basketball Coaching Qualification (or working towards).
Coaching experience within EABL, AoC, NBL, or BCB environments.
A full UK driving licence and enhanced DBS check. Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills.

We're looking back at a fantastic night for the Derby Trailblazers, as we celebrated the achievements from across our club. 🏀🏆

With another brilliant season officially in the books, players, coaches, volunteers and supporters recently packed out the Theatre at Noel-Baker Academy to celebrate the incredible hard work and talent across the entire club.

From our amazing Mini Blazers taking their first steps on court, right through to our dominant Junior, Senior and Academy squads, it was the perfect opportunity to recognise everyone who makes this club so special.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, including special guests Catherine Atkinson MP and Baggy Shanker MP, and a massive congratulations once again to all of our award winners!

This weekend, one of our Derby Trailblazers Academy standouts will be competing at the National League Junior Final Fours in Manchester.

Shooting guard Grace Taylor is set to represent Team Wolverhampton Slam U18 Women, who are making an impressive debut appearance at this prestigious stage of the competition.

Thr team have enjoyed a stellar maiden season in the U18W Northern Premier, finishing as runners-up with a formidable 11-3 record.

They carried that momentum into the post-season with a clinical play-off quarter-final victory against MK Breakers three weeks ago.

The action tips off with a semi-final clash against CoLA at 2:00 PM this Saturday, which will determine whether they face Ipswich or the Nottingham Wildcats in Sunday's fixtures.

For those unable to make the trip to Manchester to support in person, every moment of the tournament will be streamed live on the Basketball England YouTube channel.

We would like to wish the best of luck to Grace, Coaches Mark and Douaine, and the entire team for the big weekend ahead! 💙🏀
