NEW MEMBER SESSIONS CONTINUES

Sessions for new members are on Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to noon on the Old Green. This is aimed to all new members

Members who joined last year can continue with that group if preferred but those who have started to bowl in league matches can have the opportunity to develop further with the advice on match craft on the New Green at the same time.

Both sessions will involve valuable advice/tips for the first half of the session and then some friendly competitive bowling with short games in the second half.

The next Round Robin competition is nearly upon us being on Sunday 31st May with the usual start time of 11.00 a.m. and the day will conclude at ca. 15.30 p.m. with a break for lunch.

The format will be the same as usual and depending on numbers the players will be paired according to handicap and split into 2 pools.
You will probably play 4 pool games of 8 to 10 ends each.

It is played in a relaxed atmosphere and is the opportunity for less experienced players to learn from their colleagues on playing double bowls matches.

Come along and give it a try.

If you intend to come along then please email Peter as it saves some administration on the day and gives an idea of numbers expected.

Following a great day of bowls, The Ladies Pairs Charity Competition ended in an ALL Allestree final. Well done to Annie and Lynne beating Annette and Marie 21/15 👏👏👏

Belper Over 55’s two teams at home this afternoon, and one team away.

Allestree A v Etwall
With a win to Allestree 8 points to 2.
Allestree C v Hazelwood B with a win to Allestree 6 points to 4.

Aston & Weston v Allestree D
Allestree also had a win away 11 points to 1

A tougher time for our Doubles team in game week two, with hosts Allestree taking the first four games. Well done to Margaret and Christina for winning the final game to secure 2 points from the match 👏👏
