New Year New Start

It’s that time again,
(You know what I mean)
When the the gym’s filled with new resolution.
They want to get fit,
They need to get thin,
They think working out’s the solution.

The classes are packed,
The weight machines full,
And every treadmill is busy.
There’s puffing and panting
And bad Lycra choices,
The colours just make you feel dizzy!

You can’t get your place,
You can’t work your abs,
And there’s no space on your favourite classes.
It makes you feel cross,
Upset and annoyed.
These new year resolution asses!

But take a deep breath
And give them a chance.
Remember the time you were new!
It takes lots of courage
To take the first step,
Just think how it once felt for you!

They may be quite worried
Or some even scared
But they’ve made a commitment today.
So how should you act?
How could you help?
Is there something you could do or say?

Remember the moment
When you made a change?
take a look back at when you first came here.
Then welcome them in
And give them a hand
To start getting fitter this year.

Just one friendly smile,
Or Hi, or hello,
Rather than giving them trouble or strife,
Could be the moment
That makes them return.
So they are new resolutions for life.

How are you all getting on?? We are back in the gym and working out on classes. Our first team teach tonight in a long time was fab! Hope you are all well and don’t forget the videos are still there for you to do xx
