Littleover School of Dance

Littleover School of Dance Littleover School of Dance was established in 1983 and offers excellent tuition in Ballet, Tap, Modern Stage, Jazz, Freestyle and Adult Classes.

The school is based at St. Peter’s Hall, Normanton Lane, Littleover where classes are held Monday to Saturday for age 3 years upwards and professional teacher training. Pupils follow a structured examination syllabus and are entered for examinations with the N.A.T.D. (National Association of Teachers of Dancing). The school has a 100% pass rate with many of our students achieving distinctions, som

e successful in gaining places at vocational schools. We offer the opportunity to showcase their talents in our school show which is staged at The Derby Theatre helping children to gain in confidence through their performances which are enjoyed by their family and friends. Some students have been able to represent the school in professional productions including the English Youth Ballet. We strive for a friendly atmosphere in which children can develop their skills and grow in confidence whilst acquiring poise, co-ordination and musicality.

Congratulations to Amy who has successfully auditioned and been offered a place at both and . Amy has chosen to complete a BTEC Extended Diploma in Performing Arts (Dance) Level 3 with Addict Dance Academy and will start her training from next September. Amy has trained with LSOD since she was 3 years old and we are all extremely proud of her achievement. Well done Amy! 🤩👏🏻

Congratulations to all of our students who danced in English Youth Ballet’s performance of ‘Giselle’ this weekend at Theatre Royal, Nottingham. Alice, Alyna, Amy, Ashni, Betty, Ellie, Grace, Joanna, Lyla, Molly, Navneet, Olivia and Tabitha all danced beautifully and we are very proud of you.

Also, a huge well done to Joanna who was presented with the Junior Prize for performance quality. Such an amazing achievement 🤩
