Caroline Green Dance & Theatre Arts is a thriving and unique Theatre Arts school based in the heart of Derby and was established in 1989 by its current Principal Caroline Twells. We follow the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), ISTD, Rambert and Acrobatic Arts syllabus. We also enter our Drama and Musical Theatre pupils for LCM and LAMDA exams. Pupils of the school are trained to a high standard in Ba

llet,Tap, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary, Commercial, Pointe, Stretch, Acting, Singing, Piano, Musical Theatre & Cheerleading. Exams are taken regularly and we stage a Show at a large Theatre in Derby every year. We also enter Festivals, and we dance at many other prestigious venues around the country. We are a fun, friendly and family orientated school which is currently celebrating 33 years in business! We have classes for Adults and Children from age 2 1/2 in our very own studio on London Road.

Good morning

Rehearsals are going well for our upcoming show at Derby Theatre and we can’t wait for you to see the hard work and amazing young people who are involved. We have something for everyone and a jam packed show with glittering costumes, wonderful choreography, fabulous singing and lots of fun!

CGDTA are proud to be offering our students a wonderful opportunity. Our West End performance team are very excited for their upcoming show at His Majesty’s Theatre on Sunday!

Happy 37th birthday to us!! 🎂🩰🎁🎉

I never would have believed that on 1st April 1989 when I packed up my record player and 45’s to go and teach my first class at Barrow-on-Trent village hall, that I would still be here doing the same job all these years later!
Times have changed but what we do is still the same and our love and passion for dance and teaching still inspires us to deliver the best experiences for our students. 😍
Thanks to everyone who supports us and has done over the years. Our show is coming up in July and we’d love to see you there 🩷
