What a way to get back out there! 💪🏻⚽️

The Rams’ first game back today saw us take on a very good Derby County Women side in what was a competitive and entertaining game from start to finish.

It was a cagey opening as both teams settled into the game, but there was plenty of quality on show. Both goalkeepers were outstanding, pulling off some fantastic saves throughout the match. 🧤🔥

The Rams worked incredibly hard and put themselves into a great position, showing real character, determination and togetherness. We may not have held on, but there were plenty of positives to take from the performance.

⚽ BRANDON tucked the ball away after some brilliant ratting from Albie — exactly the kind of hard work and pressure we love to see! 👊🏻

🚀 And then KOREY… WOW! A genuine screamer from the touchline! Absolutely outrageous finish! 🔥🔥

Most importantly, IT WAS GREAT TO BE BACK! 💙🖤

The effort, attitude and togetherness were there, and that’s something we can build on. Keep working, keep believing and keep pushing — the next fixture can’t come soon enough!

Kestrels were back in action at the university this afternoon against a very strong little Eaton diamonds lightning team.

It was a very nervy start from us and the majority of us were still in holiday mode. Mistakes and lapses of concentration all over the pitch cost us and we were heavily punished by the opposition. Harry in between the sticks made a fantastic save from a penalty and an even better one from the rebound.

At half time the kestrels were asked to give 100% and not to give up and they delivered. After a sloppy 5 minutes we woke up and started fighting for every ball. Deontaé was everywhere working for the team and we eventually got one back through Reuben. Deontaé’s hard work then paid off and he got his first Stockbrook colts goal with a neat finish. The opposition were still dangerous and Harry still had work to do before Seth got us another with a brilliant volley in the closing stages.

Concentration was our biggest enemy today but there were some really positive moments to take into next week.

Well done kestrels and thank you to everyone who came to watch. Your never ending support really helped the boys keep going when they could have easily given up.

Wolves season begin today back at the Racecourse and what a opener it was!

Great team play and work rate from all the players today. Pre-season definitely paid off and all the boys worked there socks off both defensively and offensively!

PoTM went to our new team captain Patrick, the boy just doesn't stop running and working for his team!

Bobcats started the new season really well with a hard-fought game against Spondon.

The first half was tight, with both teams battling hard, but Bobcats produced some fantastic football and were rewarded with a great finish from Rojyar to give us the lead. ⚽️

The second half started a little slowly for Bobcats, and Spondon capitalised to get themselves back into the game. But the Bobcats soon found their feet again.

A brilliant corner delivery from Flo was met at the back post by Reggie, who calmly tapped home. ⚽️

Reggie then stepped up to take a fantastic free-kick. With a little help from Max putting the keeper under pressure, the ball found the back of the net! ⚽️

At the back, Charlie and Kingsley and Max worked brilliantly together, putting in another solid defensive performance. Lucas helped the team out today by playing in a position he doesn't normally play, stepping into defence and putting in a brilliant performance.

Arlo played his first game outfield and had a really good game

At times, Bobcats played some fantastic football, showing some great passing, movement and teamwork. There is plenty to be positive about as we get the new season underway!

Oscar played his first game in goal today and was absolutely fantastic. He pulled off some brilliant saves and, at times, kept Bobcats in the game. A fantastic performance between the sticks! 🧤👏

Bees got there season underway today v Belper

A real team effort today with everybody
Playing a role

Nate netting the first for the bees and confidence grew from then in for him.
Bees kept a real good shape which resulting in lots of attacking football
Jacob amongst the goals not long after
Bagging 2 close together putting bees 3-0.
A little lapse in communication let Belper get in on goal and pull one back
Jacob bagged his hat-trick just before half time.
2nd half bees kept the high tempo pressing and did there best to keep Belper as close to there own half as possible
Jackson Knocking at door plenty danced through a few players to finally get his goal.
Alex bagged the bees 6th which came well deserved after his efforts pushing so hard down the right wing
Everybody played there game well today

But after being brought off for lack of effort he was a changed player on returning to the field.

🦁 Them Beasts vs Blue Tigers 🐯
It was a fantastic performance from the Beasts as they came away with a well-deserved 3-1 victory against the Blue Tigers! ⚽🔥

The first half was a scrappy affair, with both teams battling hard and struggling to get the ball down and play their football. There were plenty of challenges and both sides were working hard to win possession.

The breakthrough finally came when Cyril broke down the line. The ball dropped perfectly to Joey, who kept his composure and finished to put the Beasts 1-0 up! ⚽

The second half was a completely different story, with the Beasts putting on a dominant display. They controlled the game much better, moved the ball with confidence and created chance after chance. It felt like it was only a matter of time before the second goal arrived.

With around 10 minutes left on the clock, Aiden found himself with some room and got a shot away. The strike found the back of the net to make it 2-0! 🚀⚽

The Beasts continued to defend brilliantly, and another great defensive display allowed Cyril to break away. He showed great awareness to square the ball across to Kai, who made no mistake and converted on his debut! What a way to announce yourself! 👏⚽

A fantastic Stockbrook display from every individual. Every player contributed, worked hard for each other and showed great teamwork from start to finish. 💙🦁

A great season opener today, we had 2 great games last year and another today, a true 80 min battle, tigers were 1-0 up at halftime, and made it 2-0 minutes after half time, Jerelle with 2 great goals earned through hard work, chello scored a free kick that arguably shouldn’t have found its way through the wall or into the net, but other then that bear had a great game between the sticks, everyone gave 110% today and we were genuinely really unlucky to come away with nothing, but as I said to the boys, 3 really sloppy goals to concede and ultimately we let ourselves down in the end.
