āThe perfect coach lifestyleā
5am wake up, meditation, journalling, perfect breakfast, sunrise run, and meal prep all lined up for the day.
It looks lovely on Instagram.
Thereās just one problem.
It isnāt real life for most people.
The people I coach are getting kids ready for schoolā¦
Trying to make a 9am meetingā¦
Running businesses, working shifts, and looking after families.
Sometimes they barely know what the next hour looks like, never mind their perfectly optimised 12-hour routine.
And I have a big opinion on this.
Because when someone struggling with their weight loss sees this contentā¦
Do they really feel motivated?
Or do they think: āNo wonder I canāt do this, my life looks nothing like thatā
Thatās the bit I think the industry misses.
Because Iām a nutritionist and my nutrition isnāt perfect either.
I eat chocolate, my plans change, my food sometimes gets thrown together, some days are organised, some days arenāt.
And Iām still healthy, in good shape, and able to manage my nutrition.
Because thatās what real life nutrition actually looks like.
Good coaching shouldnāt make you fit the coachās lifestyleā¦
It should make the strategy fit yours.
Your work, family, social life, stresses, responsibilities and your starting point.
We can improve things, of course we canā¦
But we have to start with where you actually are.
Thatās what āmeeting people where theyāre atā actually means.
Not lowering standards or making excusesā¦
Understanding the person first, then building a realistic framework that moves them forward.
Without it collapsing the second real life happens.
That is very different from āWeāve all got the same 24 hours in a dayā
I hate that saying.
Try telling that to someone who has just had an argument with their boss, is late to pick the kids up and still has to figure out what theyāre having for tea.
You donāt need to live like an influencer to get an amazing result.
You need a realistic strategy, consistency, and coaching that actually understands you and your life.
You donāt need patronising by some young coach who hasnāt got a clue about real life⦠(Sorry, I said it) š
I have spaces opening in September to work with meā¦
If you want some real help this side of Christmas, drop me a message, letās talk š
