Join me this Sunday at the beautiful New Bath Hotel & Spa, a member of Radisson Individuals,, Matlock Bath, to welcome the longest day of the year with a peaceful and uplifting outdoor yoga practice by the poolside. 🧘‍♀️💜

The Summer Solstice is a wonderful opportunity to pause, connect with nature, and embrace the energy of the season through movement, breathwork and relaxation.

✨ Flow, Move & Breathe with DruwithjuYoga ✨

This week's Dru Yoga sequence is a beautiful flowing practice designed to improve strength, balance, flexibility and focus while encouraging mindful movement and breath awareness. 🙏

Starting in Mountain Pose and flowing through Warrior postures, Triangle, Warrior 3, Tree and Chair Pose, this sequence gently challenges both body and mind whilst helping to develop stability, confidence and coordination.

Remember to work within your own ability, move with awareness and enjoy the journey rather than focusing on perfection. Every practice is an opportunity to connect with yourself and celebrate what your body can do.

I hope you enjoy practising this sequence and experiencing the many benefits of Dru Yoga.

✨ Continuing Professional Development with Dru Yoga ✨

Today I had the pleasure of attending a Post Graduate training day with Dru Yoga, focusing on adapting Dru Yoga sequences for Chair-Based Yoga (EBR2).

As a yoga teacher, I am passionate about continuing my professional development to ensure I can provide safe, effective and inclusive sessions for all abilities. This training has enhanced my knowledge and skills in adapting Dru Yoga practices for those who may prefer or require the support of a chair.

Chair-Based Yoga offers many benefits, including improving mobility, flexibility, strength, balance, posture and overall wellbeing, while making yoga accessible to a wider range of people.

I’m looking forward to incorporating these new techniques into my Chair-Based Yoga and Chair-Based Exercise classes, helping participants gain even more confidence, independence and enjoyment through movement.

Learning never stops, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to deepen my knowledge and better support the wonderful communities I work with. 🙏

✨ Taking Time to Pause and Recharge ✨

This weekend I’ve been enjoying some much-needed time for my own wellbeing at the wonderful The Big Retreat Festival. 🙏

It has been such a lovely experience filled with yoga, meditation, breathwork, sea swimming, sound baths, live music and the most amazing positive vibes throughout the weekend. 💜

One of the biggest reminders for me has been the importance of slowing down, pausing and making time to nurture our own physical and mental wellbeing. As someone who spends so much time supporting others, it’s equally important to refill our own cup too.

I’ve also been very lucky to share this special experience with my lovely close friend Caron Salt, creating memories, laughter and moments of calm together. 😊

Returning home feeling grounded, uplifted and inspired to bring even more positive energy into my DruwithjuYoga classes and sessions.

We are happy to announce that our beloved 5K Memorial Run is returning for another year 🎉🏃‍♂️

🗓️ June 26th
⏰ 6:30PM registration, 7:00PM start
📍 Nutbrook Cricket Club, West Hallam

Join us for a walk or run around the beautiful Straws Bridge and surrounding area, followed by refreshments, food, and entertainment.

As always, the event is free to attend, but donations are welcome.
