Anyone that knows me knows I’m a summer girl, everything in the sun is so much better ☀️

I am someone who’s mood is affected by the weather, so winter months seem so much harder than summer months. I HATE TO BE COLD!!!

Theres something constant in my life that I know will keep me warm, keep me positive, make me feel good,keep me focussed and most importantly stay on top of my mental health . . . . .

TRAINING!!

Not only all of the above, but gives me that head start for next year and all those holidays/festivals I’m planning!

The tan will have to wait until next year 🤦🏻‍♀️

Ever been to the gym alone, with a plan of what you are going to do and come away with only maybe completing half of the plan?

It’s easy to avoid exercises we dislike when you have nobody to tell you otherwise or question you.

Exercises we avoid are usually the ones we need to do the most, the areas we neglect because let’s face it; it hurts 🤣
RDLs here in this picture are my weakness 😤 it can be easy to avoid the things we aren’t good at but tell yourself to tackle them head on!

Be accountable for you!

➡️Have a go to gym playlist
➡️Set goals
➡️Reward yourself

With endless fitness/diet tips available to everyone on the internet it’s easy to get confused. Especially if you are only just started out.

To begin with dont pressure yourself in to being a full time athlete. Keep it simple and keep it all about you....

X3 takeaways a week?
Reduce it to x1.

5k steps per day?
Increase your steps to 6k a day.

Train half hearted x4 times a week?
Get x2 quality sessions in.

Sleep 6hours a night?
Increase sleep to 7 hours per night.

Drink 1 litre of water per day?
Increase water intake to 1.5 litres per day.

Don’t try and run before you can walk. We only get one body, and one mind. Look after it.

Around this time of year when it’s getting colder, darker and summer is coming to an end many people will lose motivation. Next summer seems so far away .....

Use that very thought as your motivation, get that head start for next summer. Don’t wait until summer is almost here again before hitting the gym.

In the mean time whilst the sun is hibernating get your feel good vibes from exercise....

Work hard in winter......
