We are a Family Full Time Martial arts Academy & Fitness centre with over 7000 sq ft of training space. The biggest matted space for all your Martial arts needs, Strength training room with heavy commercial free weights and resistance machines, commercial cardio equipment. We have a large seating and viewing room for parents and family member to either relax whilst classes are in progress. We do encourage all of our members to take part and train whilst their children are so why not ask about our FREE for parents training in our strength training/ cardio room or even adults family classes with a intro session. We are open 5 days per week with over 30 classes running. Personal training & Karate Birthday parties also available. 𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗥 𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗛 𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥, 𝗙𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗦 🥊💥☕
If you're a guy and anything like me you never look after yourself in terms of talking about worries in life....
'Men being men' is a stigma which sadly some of us uphold and bottle worries and feelings up inside. I have decided to offer a free weekly session for men of all ages and backgrounds to come to my club, hit some pads and grab a coffee afterwards together. This isn't a therapy session as such....it's a weekly reset session with the opportunity to talk to other guys in a relaxed setting. The meetup is totally free of charge, gloves for the pad session will be provided by myself, even the coffees and biscuits afterwards are on me. I have created a closed WhatsApp group for us all to stay in touch 24/7 so that we can be 'corner men' for each other even when the club doors shut.
This is open to everyone from 17 years+ in my community of Denton, Manchester and close proximity. If you know someone who would like to come along then simply share this video, tag them below or send them my contact number which can be found in my bio on this page. Here's to this initiative taking off and bringing fellas together to be 'Corner Men' for each other through life 🙏🏻🥊💥☕

As a coach I see and hear this all the time, it's something that comes with the role in any sport. Wanting to stop something is inevitable but doing it at the right time is most important. The easy option for parents for any child who wants to quit training is to allow them just for a bit of peace and quiet but is that going to instill the values you want in your child? If a child has reached a level where they ultimately need to move on, have built an extremely strong character and hit every goal there is to attain then I'd say yes go with it. Agreeing to allow a child to quit though because the going is tough, training is hard, they like 90% of it but want to find a way out of the tough parts isn't going to teach them anything good and will ultimately make them feel that when they struggle in anything else in life they can throw the towel in. The parents that come to me during these times are 100% doing the right thing, communication is key with any coach so we can navigate the situation together. When you stay in close contact with teachers, coaches the support network doubles and will ultimately keep children pushing boundaries, facing fears and overcoming adversity. I want to say a big thank you to Emily's parents for being supportive, staying with her through her Kickboxing studies (good and bad) and also to these kids you see here 🙏🏻 We train together, we laugh, we cry, we sweat, we fall...but we get back up again! 💯🥊💥

Keep going Emily and everyone else who maybe having a wobble. You are all capable and have backing and support from more people than you may realise.

Sending kids home because a skirt is apparently an inch too short—or threatening to force girls into trousers—feels completely over the top to me.

Let's be real....families are struggling right now. Not everyone can afford to fork out for brand-new clothes every time a rule shifts, and plenty of kids rely on hand-me-downs.

When I was a kid, girls wore skirts pretty short and us lads turned up in Nike athletic hoodies, and yet somehow we all still managed to walk through those doors and get our school work done.

At the same time, I do get it. Teachers have an incredibly hard job, and rules are rules. But schools and kids need to have a genuinely good bond for school life to be easy and enjoyable on both sides. Constantly policing wardrobes destroys that trust.

School is hard enough as it is, and you never really know what kids are actually dealing with behind closed doors. Plus, working parents can’t just drop everything and rush home in the middle of the work day just because a child’s hemline is off by a centimeter.

Do you agree schools shouldn't be so strict—if uniforms are worn they should be ok—or do you think kids should be sent home?

For me, if the kids are in school on time and get their heads down and work hard, show respect and try their best that's far more important. A phone call to parents to go over any uniform issues with them is the way to go about it, not punishing kids without knowing the full details.

I wanted to post this as many kids at my club have had this issue this week. Hopefully it all resolves itself quickly so the kids can concentrate on learning and the teachers on teaching.
