📢 Exciting improvements are underway at Delamere Forest to help make more of the forest accessible to more people.

Thanks to targeted UK Government funding, we've already delivered improvements including Eddi's Hillfort play area, designed with people who have lived experience of disability and access needs, a Changing Places toilet, and all-terrain mobility scooters available to hire.

The latest phase of work is now underway at Old Pale. While visitors hiring our all-terrain mobility scooters can currently reach the top and enjoy the stunning views, the steep gradients mean they need to return the same way. We're adapting the section of the trail that makes it a circular route so that it will be suitable for these scooters (as well as a gentler descent for those on foot!) helping more people explore and enjoy this special part of the forest.

As works progress, some areas may look a little muddier or messier than usual. Thank you for your understanding while we make Delamere Forest more accessible for everyone. 💚
